FROM THE PROPHETS CHAMBER – WEEK SEVENTY-FOUR
AUTHORITY IN THE EARTH – PART FIVE
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog. I will be continuing the teaching today on our authority in the earth, part five. Before we move forward, please take a moment and share this teaching by every means available to you. This is so important for expanding our reach with the gospel, the good news, of the Kingdom of God. In fact, the Master Himself told us to command the Kingdom of God into the earth.
Matthew 6:9-11 (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
According to this Scripture, whose responsibility is it, who has the authority, to bring the Kingdom of God, the will of God into the earth? It is our responsibility, we have been given authority, the sons (and daughters) of God. Ten (10) is the Bible number for responsibility. We speak the Kingdom, the will of God, into the earth just as we see God in the beginning. As dear children we are to imitate our Heavenly Father.
Ephesians 5:1 (ESV)
1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
All of the Kingdom is ours, Jesus said so! It is ours to use according to the will of God.
Luke 12:32 (KJV)
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (Matthew 6:33)
Jesus tells us that we have the keys to the Kingdom and we can loose (allow) or bind (forbid) as we choose in the earth.
Matthew 16:18-19 (KJV)
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
It seems to me that verse nineteen (faith) is a little confusing. On first reading it would seem to say that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in Heaven. And the same interpretation is true of the loosing. A better or more accurate translation is that whatever we bind (forbid) or loose (allow) on earth is backed up by Heaven. It does not differentiate between good or bad. In verse nineteen notice the word ‘in’ before ‘heaven’ that is also translated as by. With this in mind lets look at verse nineteen in the New Living Translation.
Matthew 16:19 (NLT)
19 And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”
Have we failed to permit or forbid some things? Given all that we have studied in this series thus far, who is responsible for what is going on in the earth? Is it God? Is it the devils? Is it other people? Is it we ourselves, the Church? Where are we seated spiritually (part of our spirit man)?
Ephesians 2:6 (KJV)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
So, we are seated with and in Christ Jesus at the right hand of the Father in Heaven, right now, not at some future time. We operate in Heaven’s capabilities with Heavens resources. I will close with the following lengthy passage.
Ephesians 1:16-23 (KJV)
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Dear ones, we are “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come” in Christ Jesus. What do you say we start acting like it?

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
