FROM THE PROPHETS CHAMBER – WEEK EIGHTY-SIX
SON – AMBASSADOR – HEIR – PART EIGHT

Greetings dear sons (and daughters), ambassadors, and joint-heirs of the Kingdom of God and welcome back to From the Prophets Chamber. Today I will be picking up with part eight of the current series concerning sons, ambassadors, and joint-heirs. Before we move forward, please take a moment to share today’s teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing, that is so important in expanding our reach with the good news. Now let’s move to our primary Bible text for this series reading out loud.
2 Corinthians 5:17-20 (KJV)
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
Romans 8:17 (KJV)
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
I want to focus in on the phrase “new creature” once again for I want us all to be clear for what the Bible teaches and what religion teaches are two separate things many times. Many interpret this to mean that our spirit man is brand new, a new spirit not the same spirit we were conceived having but another one. Since our spirit man is eternal dead (separated from God) or alive (connected to God) what happens to the old spirit? What about the soul (mind, will, and emotions) when we are born again? Is it (the soul) separated from the old spirit and attached to the new spirit? I hope you are starting to see some of the issues associated to believed we get a whole new spirit at salvation. Apply this to Jesus, His spirit died upon the Cross but is alive at the Resurrection and He is restored as God at the right Hand of the Father. Is He now a new God, what happened to the old spirit that existed for eternity? In Hebrews the Father does not speak of Jesus as someone different.
Hebrews 1:1-5 (KJV)
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
Is there any evidence here that the Second Person of God, the Triune God is now a new Second Person of God? No of course not! And you and I dear ones have the same spirit that we had at conception in our mothers’ womb but that spirit has been quickened and we are alive to God, resurrected and seated at the right Hand of Majesty on High. As I close recall and meditate the following passages.
1 Corinthians 15:20-24 (KJV)
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
Was it a different Christ that rose from the dead? What about us?
Ephesians 2:4-7 (KJV)
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Lord willing, I will return in a week and we will move forward in our study of sons, ambassadors, and joint-heirs.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
