FROM THE PROPHETS CHAMBER – WEEK EIGHTY-EIGHT
SON – AMBASSADOR – HEIR – PART TEN

Greetings dear sons (and daughters), ambassadors, and joint-heirs of the Kingdom of God and welcome back to From the Prophets Chamber. Today I will be picking up with part ten of the current series concerning sons, ambassadors, and joint-heirs in Christ. Before we move forward, please take a moment to share todays teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing, that is so important in expanding our reach with the good news. Now let’s move to our primary Bible text for this series reading out loud.
2 Corinthians 5:17-20 (KJV)
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
Romans 8:17 (KJV)
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
For several weeks, nine to be exact, I have been dealing with the seventeenth verse of 2nd Corinthians and I will continue today. What we are studying applies to anyone “in Christ”. When we are born again, grafted into the body of Christ, we become again of like kind with Him, and are accepted into the body. We are a new creature, none like us have ever existed before, not even Adam, and none will ever be like us in the ages to come. We, and we alone, are the children of God. Unlike Adam we are not subject to the Law of Sin and Death, we have the mercy of Grace.
At this time let us once again turn our attention to the phrase “old things are passed away”. Let’s focus in on the word ‘thing’ for a moment. The Lord showed me some years ago that frequently one can substitute the word ‘word’ in place of thing. So, in our text we could read it like ‘old words are passed away’, we have a new way of talking, we are speaking new words, words of God, words of the Kingdom. Let’s look at a little bit of foundation for this.
Genesis 11:1 (KJV)
1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
The word ‘speech’ here is in the Hebrew 1429 times, 807 times as word, 231 times as matter, and 51 times as acts, and so on. You can quickly see it is most commonly referring to words either spoken or written. Now, let’s take a look at definitions of this Hebrew word transliterated to English as dābār meaning word, speech, matter, to arrange, to speak, to subdue, or command according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary and The Complete Word Study Dictionary – Old Testament. This is quite illuminating, I think. As we look forward in our text and see the phrase “all things are become new”. At and following salvation we are to have new words; our old way of speaking is to pass away. We have new matters to consider and matter itself (physical) is subject to our words. The old arrangements for the curse and home in Hell for eternity are now changed to the blessing and home in Heaven for eternity. Even our relationships will change radically after salvation. We will no longer have things in common with people of darkness but want to have relationships with people of the light. We can now subdue the curse, things of this earth contrary to the Kingdom of God. We can give commands and the Blessing (Holy Spirit) backs our voice according to the will, the Word of God. We are the sons of God!
As we look at verse eighteen, we see that “all things are of God”. All of our new words are of God. Our thoughts which bring forth our words will be those of the God, of the Kingdom as led of the Holy Spirit. The words, the Power of these word, the arrangement made for us in the Kingdom were all Gods’ idea. These arrangements are as wonderful as the old arrangements in the kingdom of darkness were awful. The more of the Word of God we treasure in our hearts, not our brain/mind as information, our mouth will speak, bringing forth the goodness of God, Heaven upon the earth, the Garden of Eden into our lives and the lives of those God brings into our circle.
Lord willing, I will pick up our study right here next Saturday.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
