FRIDAY NUGGETS
THE MIND OF CHRIST – PART TWO

Greetings dear and precious friends, partners, and children of God the Father. Welcome back to Friday Nuggets and the topic of The Mind of Christ – Part Two. Classically the mind is a part of our soul, part of our spirit man, along with our emotions, and will. Some include the intellect as well but it seems to me that is part and parcel of the mind, the central processing center of our thoughts (conscious and subconscious). Before I proceed, please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible using every means at your disposal. Thank you for sharing. Those who share and partner with us have a very important role in this Ministry and in fulfilling the role of a son in the Kingdom of God. Recently in a conversation with a friend, a man of God, the topic of the “mind of Christ” came up. Many say that we don’t have, in fact cannot have the “mind of Christ” and start quoting (in part) from Isaiah. Consider the following verse continuing to read out loud.
1 Corinthians 2:16 (KJV)
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
This verse seems to clearly say that we have the mind (the thoughts) of Christ (Anointed One, Messiah, Holy Spirit). Please don’t go apoplectic. We are reading from the Bible. Now, let’s go to Isaiah and examine what I think for many will be a familiar passage.
Isaiah 55:6-11 (KJV)
6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
As this passage starts off, God through the Prophet Isaiah (by the way Prophets like Isaiah still walk the earth) is speaking to the wicked and admonishing them to seek Him while He may be found, while He is near. Then we see the verses frequently quoted out of context that His thoughts and ways are higher and altogether different than His thoughts and ways. Of course, they are, He is talking to the heathen, natural man. Let’s go back to 1st Corinthians and see what the Lord said through the Apostle Paul about this.
1 Corinthians 2:14-16 (KJV)
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
The natural’s man’s spirit is dead before salvation and he/she cannot hear from God or understand spiritual things, period. However, we who are spiritual (born again, spirit man quickened by the Spirit of God [Grace]) can discern these Truths of God. Dear ones we have the mind of Christ, the question is this, are we taking advantage of it? Or, do we keep repeating the lies of darkness that “I just don’t understand but I will know in the sweet bye and bye”, or something along those lines. You can understand, know all things, just have to ask.
1 John 2:20 (KJV)
20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
James 1:5 (KJV)
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
When we don’t know or understand it is because we have not asked for wisdom, insight, done our due diligence, or have rejected knowledge of the Truth. I have not quite finished what the Lord gave me to release so there will be one more, I think short, teaching next week.
Lord willing, I will pick up with part three of The Mind of Christ next Friday.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
