Greetings dear and precious saints of the ONLY living God and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog and our study of the wonderful Book of Isaiah. Isn’t the Word just wonderful? It is a Book of life, the ONLY Book of Life. If we will do this Book, we will be bringing the will of God into the earth, days of Heaven upon the earth. As far as it concerns us, we can know and do the will of God and yes, we can even have days of Heaven upon the earth. So, let’s think about why we are not seeing the will of God in our lives, days of Heaven upon the earth in our lives? Throw that poverty and suffer till we die theology into the ditch, it is a demonic lie. I don’t care who told you, get rid of it! We are studying Isaiah, why did hardship come to the children of God time after time? Not doing the will of God! 1 Timothy 2:1-3 (YLT)
1 I exhort, then, first of all, there be made supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, for all men:
2 for kings, and all who are in authority, that a quiet and peaceable life we may lead in all piety and gravity,
3 for this is right and acceptable before God our Saviour,
We are not only commanded to pray for ALL in authority but to obey and honor them as well. Well, Church how are we doing with these commands?
1 Peter 2:13-14 (YLT)
13 Be subject, then, to every human creation, because of the Lord, whether to a king, as the highest,
14 whether to governors, as to those sent through him, for punishment, indeed, of evil-doers, and a praise of those doing good;
At this time let us turn our attention to our primary Bible Text in the Book of Isaiah.
Isaiah 42:7-12 (KJV)
7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
10 Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.
11 Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
12 Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands.
What a wonderful Bible Book, illuminated examples for our learning. Of course, this Book and all the others in Scripture (all 66) are not just information, not just to be learned so to speak, but to be learned, digested, and implemented in our lives. Throughout the whole of Scripture, we see the awful consequences of sin and wonderful rewards of righteousness. One of our major problems is that we are way too emotion driven and subject to peer pressure. We lean to our own reasonings and that of others including the world and then we find ourselves in the ditch. We are still too lazy to study the Word of God to rightly divide the Truth so we with the help of others and demons develop religious sounding doctrines to explain our failures. For example, we hear songs that say things along the lines of Jesus never promised us a rose garden. Really? Is that the Truth, or did He in fact promise us a rose garden. Now, let’s focus on verse nine of our text.
Isaiah 42:9 (MSG)
9 Take note: The earlier predictions of judgment have been fulfilled. I’m announcing the new salvation work. Before it bursts on the scene, I’m telling you all about it.”
For these people, for people after them, and for us and even people to come there have been “predictions of judgment” and they have come and will come. Why did they come? Disobedience to the Word of God. Did the people have a choice? Yes, and so do you and me. Any kind of a pickle you or I are in today we have chosen by or thoughts, words, and actions perhaps starting decades ago. Repentance is the way out and embracing the Truth, not the lies we clung to previously, and doing the Truth with a whole heart.
