FRIDAY NUGGETS
FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – FAITH
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to Friday Nuggets and the teaching of the Fruit of the Spirit, this week focusing on faith. Faith is an appealing topic and we all want or declare that we have faith. The question is this, does my life, does your life demonstrate faith manifested? Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing, that is important to the Kingdom of God and to this Ministry. Be reminded of my newest book, a must read, Awake, Arise, and Triumph – Be Love. Yes, you can be love just like our Master, you just have to want too.

Before we launch into our primary Scripture the Lord has reminded me to deal again with an issue not commonly understood in the Church. One thing to remember, always, is that most Scriptures are not to stand alone. They must be read in context, have the full counsel of Scripture applied (rightly divide the Word of Truth), and be listening to the still small voice of the Holy Spirit. Most of us agree with this until it comes to the Scriptures we have been taught incorrectly and have not proven ourselves. Let us all determine to be good Berean’s. We have the mind of Christ and therefore we can have His understanding, if we will believe it and seek after it. I said all of that to say this. When we do our part, then and only then will God do the part we cannot do. For example, as we are growing and maturing in the things of the Kingdom there will be times when the love (agapē) demanded is beyond our current capacity. However, if we will exercise what we have in faith, being fully submitted to God, giving thanks to God, he will augment our love with His love giving a perfect expression of love for that situation. When we have done what we can, what we know, let’s be still and let God.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text for this study continuing to read out loud.
Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Today I will deal briefly with the fruit of faith. No matter how much I have to say about faith in this teaching and the teachings to follow the topic will be far from exhausted. Also, let me reiterate, none of these fruits are a stand alone just as no Scripture is a stand-alone. I think but will not assume since I don’t know everyone, we know that faith is essential to walking with any success in the Kingdom of God, just to gain entry to the Kingdom. Reciting a simple prayer will not bring salvation. There is way too much reliance placed on getting someone to read or repeat the “sinners’ prayer”. It is a heart issue not a head issue.
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
One must believe, have faith, in their heart (mind) and confess with our mouth Jesus not just as Savior but as Lord. This word Lord means He is the One with the highest authority in every area of life. We believe, have faith in God, unto right standing with God (the Father) through Lord Jesus. This faith in God, the need for salvation comes by hearing about that need, then acting upon it. As James says, faith without works is dead.
Romans 10:17 (KJV)
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Finally, for this week, it is impossible to please God without faith. Faith is not optional if we want to please the Heavenly Father.
Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
