THE THREE MINUTE WORD
Tuesday – August 22, 2023, Elul 5, 5783
Greetings dear children of God. You are all children of God, right? If not take care of that right now. When our lives end, and everyone’s does, your body goes into the ground but your spirit/soul goes to either Heaven or Hell. In case you are ambivalent about it, there is no comparison between the two, make Heaven your home today, this very moment.
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
If you confessed this Scripture for the first time, welcome to the family, and drop us a line with your testimony. Now, welcome back to our ongoing Bible study of the wonderful Book of Isaiah. Before proceeding forward please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. The featured picture today of two geese is provided by Joe Getchell Jr a faithful man of God. He also takes wonderful pictures and excellent eye for beauty.
Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 44:8-11 (KJV)
8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
9 They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.
10 Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?
11 Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.
Yesterday I left off talking about the command not to fear and why we so commonly fail to keep that command. God is not going to make us not fear, we chose to accept or reject fear. Fear comes to all and perhaps many times some days and we make a choice when we are aware he is asking to come in. Do we believe the threat or do we believe the promises of God concerning the threat? Who do we trust more (have the most faith in), the evil spirit of fear and his report, or our loving Heavenly Father? All too often it seems we make the wrong choice. Remember, Jesus said the most fundamental foundational act, obedience, was to love (agapē/agapaō) God.
Matthew 22:36-40 (KJV)
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
The whole of Scripture is dependent upon walking in love with God and our neighbor. Love is the antidote to fear.
1 John 4:18 (KJV)
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Let me remind each of us of the three main components of love (agapē/agapaō). First is to obey the commandments of God, second is to have a selfless lifestyle, and third walk in the Blood Covenant. If you haven’t yet gotten my Book, Awake, Arise, and Triumph – Be Love, I strongly recommend you get it now. It can transform your life, you choose. In the eighth verse of our primary text, God asks if there is another God. He then answers His own question strongly affirming there is no other God (big G). One might exclaim, “well I knew that!” Another might say “how would I know?”
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
