Tuesday – October 3, 2023, Tishrei 18, 5784
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to our delightful study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. What a wonderful Book and what a loving God to give us insights, a lamp for our feet. Before moving forward please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 45:17-19 (KJV)
17 But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
I left off yesterday pointing out that many will be saved during the Tribulation, particularly the Great Tribulation period, both Jew and Gentile. Of course, over the years beginning in the time of Jesus many Jews have been born again but by and large the Jewish people have rejected the Messiah to the extent of putting Him on the Cross. Don’t misunderstand, we all put Jesus on the Cross due to sin. Both Jew and Gentile had a hand in putting Jesus on the Cross some 2000 years ago. We all put Him on the Cross. God still has a Covenant with Israel and they will be saved as our text announces. They will obtain just like us, the Church, an everlasting salvation, world without end.
Ephesians 3:20-21 (KJV)
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
It seems that in the ages to come there may be two people groups in the earth, the Jew, and the Church. Today there are three, the Gentile, the Jew, and the Church of God (1 Corinthians 10:32). In the new earth there will be two people groups, the Jew and the Church of God both redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb (Revelation 7).
Before we go further, let’s consider the following passage from the Book of Zechariah concerning the Jewish peoples, Israel.
Zechariah 13:7-9 (KJV)
7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
The Shepherd of course is Jesus, the Messiah, and the sheep are the Jewish peoples. It looks like to me that two-thirds of the Jewish people will be killed in the Tribulation, the last Holocaust, the devils last chance to eliminate the Jewish peoples but it will not be. The devil has been prosecuting (court case after court case in the Judgment Hall of Heaven) the Jewish people to eliminate them but there has been mercy. They rejected Jehovah God over and over and finally the Messiah but still mercy has reigned in spite of severe just judgments.
