Greetings in the name of our precious Lord and Savior and welcome back to this engaging study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. God is so good. The featured picture of seven ancient pillars represents the seven pillars of society and acts as a reminder to pray for all seven as the Lord leads you. When I say pray, I am saying find out what the will of God is for each pillar and then discover your part. Your part is not begging God to do something. America was founded upon a firm foundation that of the Word of God, the Word hasn’t changed but America is changing foundations. From the solid rock to sand. In the following Scripture, God is talking to you and me (the Church).
Psalm 82:1-8 (KJV)
1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 45:17-19 (KJV)
17 But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
I have by the leadership of the Holy Spirit catapulted off of verse 17 of our primary text to a discussion of Israel and the Church. The Church has not replaced Israel but rather is grafted in with them to the Olive Tree. In addition, you will recall that we are talking about our obligation to pray for, minister to of our treasure, and honor the Jewish peoples, the nation of Israel. Let’s pick up with the 11th chapter of the Book of Romans.
Romans 11:17-21 (KJV)
17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Notice in verse seventeen we, Gentiles, are referred to as “a wild olive tree”. It does not say we are another kind of tree but an Olive Tree just wild, or could we say lost, unbelieving. We are all of the seed of Adam, of God his maker and ours. The root of this olive tree is God more specifically Christ and the fatness is brought by the blessing of Abram/Abraham. Let us not be haughty towards the Jews. You may have heard it said that the Jews don’t need the Gentiles but the Gentiles need the Jews. Salvation is of the Jews. Listen to Jesus.
John 4:22 (KJV)
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
One final point, the Jewish branches were not broken off so I could be grafted in but due to their own unbelief as a people as individuals. Salvation is by faith be it Jew or Gentile and this Olive Tree (Root) is more than adequate for all.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
