Greetings precious children, if I may, sons of God, and welcome back to this engaging Bible Study of the Book of Isaiah. The Lord is so good to give us His Words so that we can always walk in the light and not stumble in the dark. Unfortunately, way too many choose the dark due to the lusts of the flesh, the eye, and pride of life (1 John 2:16).
James 1:13-16 (KJV)
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.
We have the help of deceiving demons to help us develop religious traditions that are a perversion of Scripture. We hear things like “this is my cross to carry” or “the Lord is testing and perfecting me with this adversity”, really? What have you chosen, what have I chosen? Yesterday we looked at what Jesus called people who are always looking for a sign to believe. Just before that He told us where evil in our lives comes from.
Matthew 12:34-35 (KJV)
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
The life you are living today, that I am living today, that they were living in the time of Isaiah came right out of their mouth. Not God’s mouth and not the devils, their mouth, our mouth.
Now let’s turn our attention to our Isaiah text continuing to read out loud, yes, out loud, you know why.
Isaiah 49:18-20 (KJV)
18 Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the LORD, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a bride doeth.
19 For thy waste and thy desolate places, and the land of thy destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away.
20 The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.
As we continue with our text, we see the Lord continuing to paint a wonderful picture of restoration for His people. This can be true for the Church in our day as well. Let’s look at the New International Version for more insight.
Isaiah 49:18-20 (NIV)
18 Lift up your eyes and look around; all your sons gather and come to you. As surely as I live,” declares the LORD, “you will wear them all as ornaments; you will put them on, like a bride.
19 “Though you were ruined and made desolate and your land laid waste, now you will be too small for your people, and those who devoured you will be far away.
20 The children born during your bereavement will yet say in your hearing, ‘This place is too small for us; give us more space to live in.’
As they come out of bondage and return to their land they and the children born in their time of bondage, captivity, will exclaim the land is too small. Don’t you look forward to the day that you can exclaim that your home, your Church is too small? What always precedes healing, restoration? Repentance!
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
