Greetings dear friends and saints of God and welcome back to this enlightening, engaging, and empowering study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. It is all Him dear ones. Please take a moment to share this, and all teachings, as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. We all need the Truth desperately. The Truth is life, all else is death. Strain everything through the filter of the Truth, Holy Scripture. When I say everything, I mean everything. Just because we have heard something or have believed a thing for a long time does not make it the Truth. This includes the meditations of our own hearts and the words of our own mouths. The featured picture is to remind us that we as a people have unfinished business otherwise our land would be healed. I hear a lot about praying, and almost nothing about turning from our wicked ways.
Now, let’s turn our attention to the primary Scripture for today and continue reading out loud, yes, out loud, you know why.
Isaiah 49:13-17 (KJV)
13 Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
14 But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
17 Thy children shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee.
Well, the new year is off and running, are we making the best us of our time, have we asked the Lord to help us to do with excellence the things that benefit the Kingdom of God. The Lord is instructing the heavens and the earth to rejoice over the comfort and mercy coming by His Hand to His people. They remain in bondage, how are they comforted? By the Word of God, same as us. The Word has to be received, believed, and spoken by our own mouth and then comes the manifestation. The Lord goes on to say “But” the Lord has forsaken and forgotten us. Have you ever felt like that, even said that, and all the while He is reaching out. Just as with these people the Lord is constantly reaching out with His Word but we want a sign. We want someone to give us a “word” or to feel something. There is nothing wrong with receiving a “word” or “feeling the Spirit” but that is not what carries the day. Jesus called those always looking for a sign as evil and adulterous.
Matthew 12:38-41 (KJV)
38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.
39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
The Word of God in our mouth is what carries the day and our future. In verses 15 and 16 of our text the Lord basically says, how could I forget you, you are mine, you are always before Me. He is saying the same to us. Finally, as I finish for today let’s look at the 17th verse in the New Living Translation.
Isaiah 49:17 (NLT)
17 Soon your descendants will come back, and all who are trying to destroy you will go away.
What a wonderful promise to them, to us. Is this in our mouth?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
