JUSTICE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS
Video link: https://youtu.be/S5WXVtl4L-s
Greetings dear and precious saints of the only Living God, the only Savior, the only way to Heaven and welcome back to this exciting study of the wonderful Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment, all of you reading, and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Sharing testifies to us that you value these teachings. Thank you so much. The featured picture today is to remind us all to pray for the seven pillars or spheres of influence in our culture/society. Intercessory pray is invaluable.
Ephesians 6:18 (KJV)
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud. Yes, out loud.
Isaiah 56:1-5 (KJV)
1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
Today I will focus once again on verse one of our primary text. Our focus is the Lord’s focus and that is on justice and righteousness, doing right which doing everything God’s way. Look at the first verse in the NIV translation.
Isaiah 56:1 (NIV)
1 This is what the LORD says: “Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed.
Justice is part of the foundation of our God’s Throne.
Psalm 89:14 (KJV)
14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
The Hebrew words translated as “justice and judgment” here are the same as in our Isaiah text. Being just is big in the Kingdom of God.
Micah 6:8 (KJV)
8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Justice is big with God; He has no pleasure in our treating one person one way and another person another way. Listen to the Apostle James.
James 2:8-9 (KJV)
8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
Notice how love (agapē) and justice as linked, and it is sin to show partiality. One more Scripture on justice before I end for today (focus verse 15).
Leviticus 19:11-15 (KJV)
11 Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.
12 And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
13 Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.
14 Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD.
15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, the Lord is good, nothing but good, and He cannot lie.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
