PROCLAIM THE PRAISES OF THE LORD

Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ and any others seeing what this is all about. Welcome to our study of the precious Bible Book of Isaiah. The featured picture is a grand old Church in Oregon. The purpose of a Church picture is to remind us all of the command from our Lord to continually intercede for our brothers and sisters near and far. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud, yes, out loud, you know why.
Isaiah 60:6-10 (NKJV)
6 The multitude of camels shall cover your land, The dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; All those from Sheba shall come; They shall bring gold and incense, And they shall proclaim the praises of the LORD.
7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, The rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you; They shall ascend with acceptance on My altar, And I will glorify the house of My glory.
8 “Who are these who fly like a cloud, And like doves to their roosts?
9 Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me; And the ships of Tarshish will come first, To bring your sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them, To the name of the LORD your God, And to the Holy One of Israel, Because He has glorified you.
10 “The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, And their kings shall minister to you; For in My wrath I struck you, But in My favor I have had mercy on you.
Our primary Bible text continues on telling what our lives are to look like, yes, today. This is not for a select few but is available to everyone in Christ Jesus. We are to in the natural and spiritual to be the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. Is this and will this be reality for everyone? No, unfortunately. This is obtained by faith, walking in love, doubting not the Word of God, and led of the Holy Spirit. The following Scripture is just as True, pertinent for today as the day Moses spoke it under the unction of the Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (NKJV)
1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.
2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God:
For the next several verses there is nothing but blessings governed by the verses above until.
Deuteronomy 28:15 (NKJV)
15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:
The choice is ours, blessing or cursing. The presence of the curse in anyone’s life is the result of not obeying His commandments and statues. Nothing in the curse brings glory to God. Dear ones I want to reiterate today that we not only have the physical blessing as participants in the Covenant made with Abram/Abraham, but also the spiritual blessing, all by faith in Christ Jesus. Let’s review the Galatians Scriptures from yesterday. Please read to hear, hear to understand and do.
Galatians 3:13-14 (NKJV)
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),
14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Galatians 3:29 (NKJV)
29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
