PURGING BLOOD, FIRE, AND WATER
Wednesday – January 31, 2018

It is our persistent and diligent racoon again! There are those looking at this that are discouraged and I encourage you to immediately enter into thanksgiving to our Lord and Savior of anything you can think of even if it is the air you are breathing. Determine within yourself that no matter the current circumstances that they are temporary and subject to change, the angels, the Holy Spirit awaits the exercise of faith and your voice. Our physical eyes and carnal portions of our minds lie to us, so straighten up and look with spiritual eyes and a renewed mind in Jesus name. Reciting our perceived woes (really opportunities to wipe out the works of the devil) says that we are at his will and he, the devil, is more powerful in our life than we ourselves (our God delegated authority and power) or even the Lord God. We must not slip over into the wicked doctrine that God is working something out in our lives. No, the devil is trying to kill us! We are redeemed, completely redeemed, get ye up, forsake slackness, and reenter the fray for you are already the winner to show the goodness, the glory of God. Okay, if you are back up on your feet walking in victory by faith lets delve back into our Bible Study from the Book of Hebrews by first reading our primary text.
Hebrews 9:16-22 (KJV)
16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
The Blood of Christ has remitted all sin except the sin of rejecting Christ which is more than just rejecting the conviction of the Holy Spirit to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. It is what the Scripture calls blasphemy against the Holy Ghost which is a complete and total repudiation with knowledge of Christ, of Jesus. When accepted and entered into, the Blood of Jesus, of the Christ, removes all sin without preserving a record, restores us as children of God, and gives us access to all of the Covenant (whole Bible).
Verse twenty-two of our text tells us that “almost all things are by the law purged with blood” so let us consider what is not purged with blood. First, the number twenty-two is the number of light which is brought by the Anointed Word of God. Fire (Holy Spirit) purges and water (Word of God) purges. Now if we first consider the physical world we know that fire is a purging, cleansing or refining agent and we know that water is a cleansing or purging agent as well. The earth has been flooded with water on three occasions that we know of, both were to cleanse it of sin. The first was with and after the rebellion of Lucifer and we see the end of that flood in Genesis 1:2. The second occasion was the flood of Noah. Following the flood of Noah God said that He would not destroy the life on the earth with a flood (Genesis 9:15). The third flood of water was and is spiritual water, the Word. God sent the Christ to cleanse us of sin. The Holy Spirit who is represented by fire is a cleansing and quickening (life) force. All life is the work of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will be the cleansing agent at the end of all things concerning this current creation.
2 Peter 3:6-7 (KJV)
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Revelation 21:1 (KJV)
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Now, let’s look at this at a very personal level, that is the Blood, the Fire, and the Water cleansing and purging us of wickedness. Under the Old blood Covenant, we would see the sacrificial animal burned completely at the Bronze Altar represents a complete removal of sin however that was temporary and had to be repeated each year or with the next sin. The same thing happens at our salvation, however our sin is removed with no record. At the point of our salvation the Holy Spirit comes into this earthen tabernacle cleansing (fire) and quickening (making alive) our dead spirit man. Until we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior we are a dead soul with our mind conformed to the world and our spirit dead to the things of God. We were unable to hear from God but we were hearing fine from our father the devil. So, let’s recap, our sins are removed completely when we receive Jesus and enter into the Blood Covenant in Him. In addition, our spirit man is made alive and we can now have conversation, communion with our Father God. The Holy Spirit is in a position to give us guidance, for us to be led of the Spirit not the flesh. We are instantly in the Kingdom of God, we are children of God (of like kind), and He is our Father.
So, what is left? We have not yet received a glorified flesh and bone body like unto Jesus which is uncorrupted. Although with the Word of God we can have a tremendous impact on this physical body. We also have a mind that is conformed to the world, the will of Satan, and it is our responsibility with the Word of God to conform it to the Kingdom of God, to the will of God.
Until our next publication, I speak blessing into your life right now, receive it in the name of Jesus, confess it, and walk it out with thanksgiving.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
