WILL YOU BE ENJOYING THE WEDDING FEAST OF CRYING WITH GNASHING OF YOUR TEETH?

Greetings dear ones, sons and daughters of the only Living God, joint heirs with the Son our Savior Christ Jesus, and led by our Helper, our Teacher the Holy Spirit. How can one not be thankful all day long giving praise to the One and only God? Welcome back to this study of the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. This was the major theme of the Ministry of Jesus in the earth. Jesus was either demonstrating the Kingdom of God or teaching us how it worked. In reality so does the whole of Scripture. Let’s move to our anchor Scripture for our study, today in the NLT. Keep in mind that the New Living Translation (NLT) is a thought for thought translation or rendering of the manuscripts used.
Matthew 6:33 (NLT)
33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
As I have asked many times before, do we see this as a command, a command we received and with the help of the Holy Spirit doing? If we are not, it to the best of our revelation (light) knowledge then we must be careful not to complain about the conditions of our natural life. I will now resume discussing the parable found in Matthew chapter twenty-two. You will recall that the Father had invited a certain group (Jews) to the wedding feast for His Son but they made light of it putting earthly things first, they scorned His servants and even literally killed some.
Matthew 22:8-14 (KJV)
8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
Note: Those invited to the wedding initially were found unworthy for the reasons spelled out in the preceding verses. Let us not be among them.
9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
Note: This is the Church.
11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
Note: These are those who think they are saved but are not, this includes the Jew today who think they are going to Heaven without Christ. The wedding garment is the garment of salvation.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Note: Whoa, I don’t want to be in this group, what about you?
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
Note: All are called, invited, not a select few, but only a few will be chosen in the end because they will be found unworthy.
TAKE HOME:
- The wedding is being prepared, we are invited, will we be found worthy? It is our choice.
- Do you have the garment of salvation? What about the robe of righteousness? Salvation gets you into the wedding, righteous doing sets the rewards.
- Putting the Kingdom of God as our highest aim and doing things the Kingdom way, God’s way, has great reward here and in the hereafter.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
