A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH

Greetings precious saints of God, it’s hump day (Wednesday), and welcome back to our invigorating (refreshing, stimulating, revitalizing) study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. O what a wonderful God we serve! Remember, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it. Please take a moment and share these teachings to expand the reach of this Ministry. Thank you for sharing. You are a vital part of this Ministry. Those of you the Lord prompted to share and didn’t, you might want to start working on the answer you will give at the Judgment Seat of Christ. The featured picture today is of an Arabian Camel (one hump), just for fun, and remind us this is Wednesday and on the downhill side to the weekend. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in this wonderful Book of Isaiah. Please continue reading out loud.
Isaiah 11:6-9 (KJV)
6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.
9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
For the last two days and continuing today we are discussing how this passage supposedly taught by some as describing the 1000-year reign of Christ is instead describing eternity with the new heaven and new earth. Yesterday I left off in the process of pointing out a couple of interesting things concerning the following passage.
Revelation 21:1-7 (KJV)
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
I focused on verse four yesterday. Everything will be new! Are you, am I thirsty? Well, we have that living water today and it will be flowing freely in eternity. That water is the Word which is the source of all life. Next, I want us to notice verse seven and the statement “It is done”. A lot like “it is finished”. Creation is come full circle but there is one very significant difference. There is no Serpent wandering around this creation as in the Garden of Eden. Redemption’s work is fully complete! Let’s examine the following passage.
Revelation 22:1-5 (KJV)
1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
As we close for today, I want us to focus on the third verse and the phrase “there shall be no more curse”. Wow, what a day that will be, I don’t know that we can fully comprehend it or describe it with current human language.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
