AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

A WONDERFUL FEAST
Greetings dear and precious friends and partners and welcome back to this instructive and faith building Bible Study of the Book of Isaiah. Now let’s launch into our text for today continuing to read out loud. Yes, out loud and you know why.
Isaiah 25:6-8 (NLT)
6 In Jerusalem, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies will spread a wonderful feast for all the people of the world. It will be a delicious banquet with clear, well-aged wine and choice meat.
7 There he will remove the cloud of gloom, the shadow of death that hangs over the earth.
8 He will swallow up death forever! The Sovereign LORD will wipe away all tears. He will remove forever all insults and mockery
against his land and people. The LORD has spoken!
Wow, does this passage stir up any Scriptural remembrances and imaginations of the wonderful things that await all who are in Christ Jesus? What about this wonderful feast? It appears this may well describe the “marriage supper” of the Lamb and His bride. The Lamb is Jesus, the bride is the Church, you and me.
Revelation 19:7-9 (KJV)
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
This happens just before the battle of Armageddon.
Revelation 19:11-15 (KJV)
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
The armies in Heaven clothed in fine linen dear ones is you and me (see Revelation 19:8). Verse eight of our primary text I believe talks of the Church after the Catching Away and the time of the new heaven and new earth. Our text tells us that He, the Lord Jesus Christ, will swallow up death forever. For today let’s see what the Apostle Paul had to say by the unction of the Holy Spirit about this.
1 Corinthians 15:51-55 (KJV)
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
Wow, this is just moments away from being a reality for all in Christ Jesus!

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
