Greetings dear friend and brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, the Lord is so good dear ones. Welcome back to this engaging study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. Today I am moving further into the 47th chapter of Isaiah using the NIV version of Scripture. Please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. If you are not sharing ask yourself and ask the Lord, why not. The featured picture today is provided by a faithful woman of God, Kathy French. If you don’t have it already, this picture is a reminder of what is to come very shortly. The Lord is good even when it snows or is blazing hot.
Now, let’s move ahead into our Bible Study of the wonderful Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 47:3-7 (NIV)
3 Your nakedness will be exposed and your shame uncovered. I will take vengeance; I will spare no one.”
4 Our Redeemer–the LORD Almighty is his name– is the Holy One of Israel.
5 “Sit in silence, go into darkness, Daughter of the Babylonians; no more will you be called queen of kingdoms.
6 I was angry with my people and desecrated my inheritance; I gave them into your hand, and you showed them no mercy. Even on the aged you laid a very heavy yoke.
7 You said, ‘I will continue forever– the eternal queen!’ But you did not consider these things or reflect on what might happen.
It seems that we all have this idea that tomorrow will be much like today. We say we know different, yet our attitudes and the evidence of our thoughts, talk and actions tell a different story. I suspect all reading this teaching have had events in our lives that changed many things if not everything yet we go on not recognizing that an end of this life is fast approaching.
Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
What will be the sum of our lives when our physical eyes close here and our spiritual eyes open at our eternal destination? There is only one thing that matters that day, which is what was your standing with God. After that what was done for the Kingdom of God by faith, in love, and led of the Holy Spirit? Review the parables of the pounds (Luke 19) and talents (Matthew 25).
Luke 19:13 (KJV)
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
Our Lord and Savior is talking to you and me and has delivered to us all that is necessary to occupy until He returns and to live in the seventh day, the Rest of God. What are each of us doing. Are we trying to conquer and take territory that has already been taken by the Lord and given to us to occupy? Let’s keep the Kingdom first. Doing this, our life will be according to His plan and in obedience it will be wonderful. I am not saying trouble won’t come, I’m saying we must be able to say like our King, the prince of this world has nothing in us and therefore cannot, does not have permission to wreak havoc in our lives.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, the Lord is good, nothing but good, the other guy not at all.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
