FAIR JUDGEMENT

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to our illuminating Bible Study of the Book of Isaiah. This study is illuminating because of our Helper, our Teacher, the Holy Spirit and not because of me, it is because of Him. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you so much for sharing. You are an important part of the Kingdom of God. We are also thankful for our partners in this Ministry and their role in expanding the Kingdom of God and sharing in our Grace. Please consider becoming a partner, but only as led of the Lord. Now, don’t forget to be reading out loud, faith comes by hearing, hearing the Word of God. The featured picture today is of a very sleepy congregation sitting in a darkened Church. These are the people who have great critiques of the Pastor, the carpet, and the terrible shape of the world, and it not even enter their thinking that they are part of the problem. “Oh no, it’s those wicked people in the world” they and perhaps some of us exclaim! Who have the highest authority in the earth? Who does God say needs to repent in order for Him to heal the land?
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NJB)
14 if my people who bear my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my presence and turn from their wicked ways, then I will listen from heaven and forgive their sins and restore their country.
Let us be diligent to receive and believe only the Truth and implement it in our lives. I hate to be the one to tell you this, but all that we hear in our respective Churches is not all Truth. Let us be diligent concerning ourselves and pray for all the saints.
Ephesians 6:18 (NJB)
18 In all your prayer and entreaty keep praying in the Spirit on every possible occasion. Never get tired of staying awake to pray for all God’s holy people,
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah and continue reading out loud.
Isaiah 42:1-4 (NJB)
1 Here is my servant whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom my soul delights. I have sent my spirit upon him, he will bring fair judgement to the nations.
2 He does not cry out or raise his voice, his voice is not heard in the street;
3 he does not break the crushed reed or snuff the faltering wick. Faithfully he presents fair judgement;
4 he will not grow faint, he will not be crushed until he has established fair judgement on earth, and the coasts and islands are waiting for his instruction.
Yesterday we left off with the latter part of verse one. Our text goes on to say, this Servant, the Chosen One, “will bring fair judgement to the nations”. This refers to the fair application of Gods’ laws for all peoples. From the beginning, the Day of Sin and Death the Father promised there was a Savior coming to restore the order of God, original intent of God, in and through His people. It was His intent that all people would be His people. The intent, the will of God, was not that man be destined to fall (sin). However, God knew that since man was a freewill creature in His image that he (they) might one day choose the word of another over His. Therefore, a plan of redemption was in place. Mankind did make a huge mistake that has cost us all but cost Heaven way more.
Genesis 3:15 (NJB)
15 I shall put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; it will bruise your head and you will strike its heel.’
First, notice the word “it” in the phrase “it will bruise”, in the Greek it reads “He will bruise” indicating the coming Savior. Yes, I know this is Old Testament and written in Hebrew but it is also written in Greek which is known as the Greek Septuagint. Remember what God told Abram when He was looking for a man with whom to cut a Blood Covenant to legally bring the Messiah into the earth. Since man has authority, jurisdiction in the earth, God needed a man in order to regain legal authority back into the earth. Praise God from Abram/Abraham.
Genesis 12:1-3 (NJB)
1 Yahweh said to Abram, ‘Leave your country, your kindred and your father’s house for a country which I shall show you;
2 and I shall make you a great nation, I shall bless you and make your name famous; you are to be a blessing!
3 I shall bless those who bless you, and shall curse those who curse you, and all clans on earth will bless themselves by you.’
Focus on verse three and notice that the blessing will be available through the coming of the Messiah through Abram but not automatic. We bless ourselves by accepting the Messiah, accepting the blessings of Abraham.
Romans 4:16-18 (NJB)
16 That is why the promise is to faith, so that it comes as a free gift and is secure for all the descendants, not only those who rely on the Law but all those others who rely on the faith of Abraham, the ancestor of us all
17 (as scripture says: I have made you the father of many nations). Abraham is our father in the eyes of God, in whom he put his faith, and who brings the dead to life and calls into existence what does not yet exist.
18 Though there seemed no hope, he hoped and believed that he was to become father of many nations in fulfilment of the promise: Just so will your descendants be.
Some translations of the Bible say Abraham is the father of us all referring to not only those of Jewish heritage but all in Christ Jesus. Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
