THE BIBLE AND PUBLIC LIFE
Greetings dear and precious saints and welcome back to “From the Prophets Chamber”. Wow, Thanksgiving is behind us and I hope that in spite of any and all circumstances you were able to give thanks unto God. The holiday is in place for thanksgiving to God for His goodness unto us personally, as families, and as a nation. Christmas is but a few days away, 2022 looms straight ahead and 2021 is almost spent. Have we spent 2021 well or was it more of the same? As we prepare to move forward, please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible expanding our reach with liberating Truth. Thank you for sharing.
Back on the 10th of February this year the Lord spoke to me saying that the Bible will be returned to public life as a source of Truth. We know the Bible as THE source of Truth. I believe He said it would be A source of Truth in the United States as a whole. Sad to say the Bible does not appear to be the only source of Truth for many in the Church. Does this sound as impossible to you on first hearing as it did to me? You are reading out loud, right, so you heard it? From the very earliest settlers to this land until after the Civil War the Bible was read and even taught as part of the educational curriculum. Can a person be truly educated absent the Bible?
The downhill slide of this nation did not start in any of our lifetimes, it started between the Civil War and the First World War and accelerated with the graduated income tax and the materialism of the roaring 20’s. It accelerated again following World War II and women remaining in the work force and an acceleration of man depending upon man and materialism. Morality slipped away until it became a right on January 22, 1973 to murder persons in their mothers’ wombs according to the Supreme Court. Does anyone reading this have a question how God stands on the abortion issue?
Proverbs 6:16-19 (KJV)
16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Voting for a person that supports abortion or is neutral (no such thing) makes that voter an abortionist, a murderer.
2 John 1:10-11 (KJV)
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
How many self-professing Christians voted for the Biden/Harris ticket in the last Presidential election? I don’t have a number but it had to be millions. I don’t know the heart of any of those people, God does, so I am not qualified to judge the consequences of that vote. Where are the preachers to make this clear in the thoughts, words, and actions of those who profess to “love” the Lord, to be Christians? Perhaps as you have been reading this you have been thinking about the Supreme Court decisions in 1962 to remove school sponsored prayer from school, in 1963 to remove school sponsored Bible reading, and in 1980 to remove the Ten Commandments from schools. The Supreme Court said that the display of the Ten Commandments “violated the establishment clause of the First Amendment because the purpose of the display was essentially religious”. Really!?
As impossible as that Word of the Lord may seem in what we observe around us remember and meditate these verses.
Luke 1:37 (KJV)
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (Bold added)

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
