A WELL OF TRUTH
PEACE OF GOD – PART FOUR
Greetings dear and precious saints of the only Living God. Please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible. Our God has no equal, there is no one beside Him. It appears to me that many suppose that God and the devil are somehow equals and are duking it out for domination. The devil himself, Satan (Lucifer fallen) is a created being and weaker than the weakest of Holy Angels. He is far weaker than the freshest of a new born in the Kingdom of God. Is this being taught or are many in the body of Christ afraid of the devil and his hoards? The only way any entity can get anything done in the earth is by our authority and power. This theology of “God is in control” is a demonic deception with catastrophic consequences for those who believe it and act upon it. Look at the carnage in the world and Church alike. God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit have given us all that is needed and more for a wealthy, healthy life in this life and that to come. Scripture is clear, death and life are in the power of our tongue (Proverbs 18:21). In invite you to take a look at the Bible Numerology of that reference. In a nutshell it tells us that our tongue brings redemption from bondage and sin. Whose tongue? Our tongue! God and the Holy Angels await our voice as well as the devils.
Ephesians 1:20-23 (KJV)
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
When Jesus was resurrected from the dead so were we and seated with Him in Heaven. Notice that the Head and the body are in the same place and both are “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named”. What would be excluded by the word “all”?
The evil spirits or entities work by pressure, lust of eye, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. They try to keep us in unforgiveness and in judging (including gossiping) of others. They work through our minds and the more unrenewed our mind is the easier it is for them to keep us out of faith and love and therefore in turmoil and defeat. The Scripture is replete with ways to guard against the devils, the following is but two.
Ephesians 6:11 (KJV)
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
It may be well worth each reader’s time to review the seven pieces of armor God has given unto us. It is our responsibility to learn these defensive and offensive weapons and use them in the name of Jesus. He will not do it for us.
1 Peter 5:6-9 (KJV)
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Humility not pride is the super weapon at our disposal by our choice. Those following the flesh fall more easily into the trap of pride which brings God’s resistance (1 Peter 5:5). Those following after the Spirit walk in humility with peace and life as God knows life. This was not really my topic but it seemed to me that the Holy Spirit wanted to bring this forward. Now let’s turn our attention to the topic of peace briefly.
Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
You will see redundancy as you study these teachings on “peace” and that is not all me but the Holy One. The Lord quickened me to the fact that verse six above is our part for the most part and verse seven is His part. I have previously pointed out that we are not using God’s peace but the peace of our spirit man, a fruit of our spirit which is identical to His. Our peace and our exercise or use of our peace compared to our Heavenly Father is very weak and many times by itself not adequate for the challenge before us. Verse six above is our exercise of our peace which we do by resisting anxiety (worry) which is a focusing of our thoughts on the problem. We are to focus on Him (Isaiah 26:3-4). We are to talk (prayer) to Him about it and not every Tom, Dick, and Harry. We are to apply by decree (declaring) the Scriptural solution He brings to us and enter into thanksgiving for the answer, the victory. When we are doing our part, He will make up the difference when the development of our peace is inadequate for the situation.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
