SOCIAL – PLAYGROUND – SCHOOL – WORK
Greetings precious saints of God, followers of Christ Jesus, friends, and partners of this Ministry and followers of The Three Minute Word. Please take a moment to share this Bible teaching as widely as possible. Our God is so good and He is nothing but good, as James says there is no shadow of turning (James 1:17) in our God, the only living God. I am teaching on “Gifts”, gifts from God with our current focus on “The Armor of God”. The Holy Spirit led me to lay an extensive foundation for the discussion of the armor. In order to use any gift, tool, to its highest proficiency we must know what it is and under what circumstances it works optimally. All too often I see people focused on Roman Soldier Armor and going through motions to put on the various pieces. Although for some this prophetic act may be useful it misses what the armor of represent. Each part the Apostle Paul speaks of represents a certain knowledge in the Kingdom of God. I will speak much more on this in coming weeks.
Perhaps you have cringed to see that I am still dealing with this whole idea of submission and obeying. In the world for sure and to a great degree in the body of Christ these are ugly words and ideas that are not taught, honored, nor done as the Bible teaches. The Word of God is not like going through a Buffet at a restaurant, we are to partake of every last Word. Receiving some of the Word and rebelling against other parts of the Word keeps the door wide open to the enemy and greatly hinders even the parts we embrace. Sometimes we don’t call our failure to do a part of the Word as rebellion we simply say “well I just don’t see it that way” or “I don’t interpret it that way”. In this way once we are shown the Truth, we harden our hearts and become completely controlled by the religious spirits (evil spirits). The time for patty cake (fooling around) in the body of Christ needs to come to an end and we must arise as the sons we were created to be. Anytime a confusion might arise concerning these things in our mind it is helpful to just take a moment and put it in the context of Christ and the Church.
As I was praying this morning (8-20-21) the Lord pointed out to me four basic aspects of what we call Church or work of the Kingdom of God activities. These are the social, playground, classroom, and work of the Kingdom. The body of Christ pretty well has the social part down pat and this would include the dinners, met and greet activities before and after “church”. Playground activities include the song service (erroneously called praise and worship) and many alter times or alter calls. Although these are fun activities and sometimes solemn activities none advance the Kingdom of God. I am not talking about people we are at the alter getting saved or those who came to repent and change their thoughts, words, and direction concerning the sin. I am talking about the people who are running, jumping, falling out in the Spirit, and hollering in their seat or at the altar because that is what we do in this denomination. Neither the social or playground activities are bad but should never be looked at as furthering the work of the Kingdom. I want to tread lightly here for there can be Kingdom work going on during social activities with Divine appointments or networking led of the Spirit to further a cause.
School would include but is not limited to time in Bible Study at home or more formal setting and sermons/teachings. How many of this go home and study the material presented? How many of us couldn’t tell someone what the sermon was about by the time we get to the car leaving the building? What is the probability that the material imparted is going bring any transformation in us (Romans 12:2)? The purpose of the Word is to cleanse us and transform us more and more into His image. How in the world are we going to do the work of the Kingdom, do what He did, and the greater works if we are nothing like Him? The fourth aspect is the actual work of the Kingdom of God. The work of the Kingdom of God is doing the works Jesus did, and doing the greater works. Body of Christ Awake, Arise, and Triumph and be the generation that ushers in the final great harvest and the return of Christ! Now let’s turn our attention to our primary text for meditation and to pick up with next week.
Ephesians 5:29-33 (KJV)
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
