GIFTS – PART ONE HUNDRED-FIVE
ARMOR OF GOD – PART FORTY-SEVEN
Greetings fellow kings and priests in the Kingdom of God and welcome back to this enabling series of teachings on the Armor of God. Please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible to expand the reach of this Ministry with the good news. For forty-six previous weeks as led of the Holy Spirit, I have been laying a foundation for a discussion of the whole “Armor of God”. Forty is the number of testing and six the number of man. Perhaps in the preceding 46 weeks you have felt tempted and grumbled as to why I didn’t just get to the point. Well, seven is the number of spiritual completion. So, the preceding time of testing is now yielding spiritual perfection, completeness, or maturity. Let’s go ahead, continuing to read aloud, and read our primary Bible text.
Ephesians 6:10-13 (KJV)
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
As I discussed last Friday the Holy Spirit in the 10th verse is commanding us to be strong in the Lord and in the Power of His might. As I mentioned before we must not only be saved placing us in Him but filled with the Holy Spirit which brings the Power of God. Notice that Jesus told the disciples just prior to His ascension to do nothing until they were endued with Power.
Luke 24:49 (KJV)
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
So, along with all of the issues we have discussed leading us to this place, we must be filled with the Holy Spirit and Power with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. Recall the following Bible translation of verse ten.
Ephesians 6:10 (CJB)
10 Finally, grow powerful in union with the Lord, in union with his mighty strength!
To be fully effective in spiritual warfare like Jesus we must be like Jesus. Jesus said we were to do the works He did and even greater works and that we could and were to be just like Him.
Amos 3:3 (KJV)
3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
The only way to produce fruit for the Kingdom of God is to be in union with Him, to walk with Him (not some Him and some us), Jesus said to abide (live 24/7) in Him.
John 15:5 (KJV)
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
In verse eleven of our text, verse eleven is the number of alignment with God, we find the command to put on the whole armor of God. The armor enables us to stand against the “wiles of the devil”. It is the “whole armour of God” that enables us to stand against the wiles of the devil, not a smattering here and there. We will be discussing the armor of God over the next few weeks. First let’s look into what is being said concerning the wiles of the devil. The wiles of the devil and his hoards are the methods or ways of the devil. Some Bible translations use the word schemes in place of wiles. The devil certainly schemes against us, never for us. These methods or schemes are the temptation he presents us with. He has studied us personally and our family tree for generations and knows where that tree has been weak in the past. These temptations will fall into the following categories.
1 John 2:16 (KJV)
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Additionally, he will try to get us into and keep us in unforgiveness. The other giant scheme of the demons is to get us to judge others. Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday and we will drive forward.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
