GIFTS – PART THIRTY-TWO
A LEGAL FOUNDATION FOR SALVATION

Greetings to our dear and wonderful friends and partners of this Ministry and followers of The Three Minute Word blog. God is so good saints of God. Ask the Lord right now if you are to share this or not. What did He say? What did you do? I hope that all of us have been earnestly practicing hearing the voice of the Lord during this Coronavirus pestilence. In times like this, really at all times, it is wise to inquire of the Lord before we do things. For example, did we inquire of the Lord about when and how to get our groceries this week or did we just plan our days with no thought about what the Lord had to say? Did we mindlessly or even earnestly declare God’s protections from His Word and then not ask for His wisdom in our daily plans? Not inquiring and following the leadership of the Holy Spirit or the Word of God is tempting the Lord, which is sin. It is sin for we are being led by self or by our spiritual enemies. Then we wonder why bad things happen.
In this Friday Bible Study series, we are exploring the gifts of God thus the title “Gifts”. For the last thirty-one weeks I have been showing the legal foundation upon which the coming of the Messiah was based. This was necessary to our salvation (restoration of all things), the blotting out of sin to allow fellowship with God, and our redemption from the curse now in the earth. God had given dominion (authority) in the earth to mankind. Therefore, from the day Adam was created to this day God works through people. A man, at least one, in the earth has to speak the will of God (by faith, in love, led by the Holy Spirit) and this permits God to act. This is how God set it up, that is clear in Scripture from day one. Man has, with significant help from the devil, twisted Scripture 180 degrees to throw all of the responsibility to God, then we wonder why things are the way they are.
Well, God finally found a man named Abram who would work with Him and the Hebrews or Jewish peoples were born and the Messiah had a legal pathway into the earth. I said “finally found a man” for we don’t know how many people He approached who would not work with Him. Finally, God found that man, Abram, and they entered into a Blood Covenant. Then the legal foundation was in place for the coming of Messiah. That Covenant was tested and stood in Genesis chapter twenty-two, the law of reciprocity was in place, and the coming of the Messiah was assured. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud.
Genesis 22:15-19 (KJV)
15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
19 So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.
When Abraham did not withhold his son Isaac and Isaac was willing to be sacrificed, then the Father could not withhold His Son Jesus (the Word) and Jesus had to be willing. This is a key element of Blood Covenant, the Law of Reciprocity. By the way the Law of Reciprocity is a key component of Biblical Blood Covenant Marriage. Our relationship with God is not one sided and neither is our relationship with our spouse. As we focus for a moment on verse seventeen on our way to verse eighteen let’s review some of its important elements. The word “seed” in both instances is masculine and singular referring to Jesus, The Seed, the Messiah, the Word (which became flesh). The stars of the heaven are the saints of God, the Church. Jesus was the first born from the spiritual dead and has brought many sons to the Father. The sand is the Jewish people. The spiritual and physical seed are multiplied due to the obedience of Abraham and Isaac. The Seed, Christ certainly has possessed the gate of His (and our) enemies. Consider the following wonderful passage describing the overwhelming defeat of Satan and victory for Christ and us.
Colossians 2:10-15 (KJV)
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
