GLORIFIED
Monday – October 21, 2019, Tishrei 22, 5780
Greetings my precious friends and partners of this Ministry and The Three Minute Word blog. A major focus of this ministry is to encourage us all, to unveil the Word (revelation) so we all can come higher in Him looking more and more like Him, and to give prophetic insights into the will of God now and in coming days. God is so very good my friends. Now, let’s turn our attention to our Bible Study of the book of John by first reading out primary text aloud.
John 13:31-35 (KJV)
31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
32 If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.
33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
The Word of God is just so wonderful and precious dear saints of God. I heard a wonderful teacher of the Word of God and a man of God (certainly one of God’s generals in the earth today) say the following phrase that God gave him. God told this man of God that “our response to the Word of God determines our entire life here and for eternity”. So, just how much should we value the Word of God? Do we take the Word of God as all other words and at times even despise (think little of) the Word of God? Remember, our response to the Word of God determines the quality and quantity of our life here and our function and position in the Kingdom now and for eternity. No, we are not all the same here or in Heaven, all is determined by our response to the Word of God here in the earth. One need not go any further than the parables of the “Sower”, the “Talents”, or the “Pounds” to clearly see the Truth of this. Why would one think there are rankings in the Kingdom of God upon earth? There are rankings in Heaven of angels and the saints in Heaven. Okay, now let’s pick up our text with verse thirty-one.
John 13:31 (KJV)
31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
Satan has entered into Judas Iscariot (by the permission of Judas himself). Jesus identified him as the one to betray Him but the other disciples at least for the moment seem oblivious to what is transpiring. Although it does not say expressly, we might be tempted to conclude that Judas had come to the point of darkness where he is beyond repentance. I for one would like to think that in the last moments of Judas’ life, that God in His mercy setting time aside and he repented and is rejoicing in Glory and not screaming in the agony of Hell. Let’s listen to what Jesus has to say now that Judas has gone out into the night (not just physical night). The word “now” is being used as an adverb to the verb “glorified”. According to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary this word “now” means at the present time, henceforth, hereafter, or soon.
We are just a few hours from the Cross and the Resurrection three days later. These three days and the Resurrection changed everything wonderfully for all of mankind. All who will believe upon the Lord are saved and everything is changed spiritually. We who believe have a new father, it was Satan now Father God, we have a new destination, it was Hell and now it is Heaven. We were outside of Covenant with God and now all of the Covenant is open and fully available to all in the Kingdom of God (saved). Everything in this Covenant including the door of salvation is obtained by faith, in love, and as led of the Holy Spirit. Let me see if I can get back on track for a moment as this teaching for today is being concluded. I trust the Lord that all of this teaching is led of the Holy Spirit and will impact many people and not return void but accomplish all to which it was sent (Isaiah 55:11). When Judas received the “sop”, Satan entered, and he left to betray Jesus. The final pieces were in place so Jesus could declare definitively that the glorification of the Son of man and God was now come. The word “glorified” has to do with the manifested goodness of God for all to see. The Son of man came to seek and save all who were lost, destroying the works of the devil. The Cross is now just a few hours away. This mission and its completion are certainly a manifested goodness of the second person of the co-equal Triune God (Jesus, the Word). The manifested goodness of the Father and the Holy Spirit are also on full display in that this sacrifice of the Son of man, the Son of God. When it is done, when it is finished we all have a way back into the family of God.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
