AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

I WILL CANCEL YOUR AGREEMENT
Greetings dear and precious children of God, our God is not one of many Gods but the only God who can and does save. Of course, there are many gods (little g) not gods at all really, just made-up imaginations brought of the Devil. When worshipping these gods, one is worshipping the Devil. There are many gods that the unsaved, those of the world, worship and many that are worshipped in the body of Christ. Anyone, any activity, or anything that takes precedence over God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) is a false god.
Exodus 20:1-6 (KJV)
1 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
There is great benefit to honoring, loving, the Lord far above ALL else. Plus, what can these other gods really do for us in the big picture, very temporary satisfaction, but He is eternal and the rewards are eternal. We must not turn aside to other gods.
Deuteronomy 28:14-15 (KJV)
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
Let us walk after the spirit, the Spirit of God and the Word! Listen to and meditate the words of Jesus. We willfully chose the flesh over the Spirit and then are appalled when the curse shows up. Worse yet many have developed a theology to remove all guilt, blame, from us and even worse place it on God.
Matthew 6:24 (KJV)
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
The word “mammon” here could also be translated as “the god of materialism”. Things of this earth come with serving the Lord with a whole heart. God is not against us being rich, very rich, for it is a witness of His abundant goodness. One last thing for now, the word ‘love’ here is agapaō the verb form of agape, in this case meaning we obey and are the servant of money according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Now, as we pivot to our primary Bible text in Isaiah, please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. Isaiah 28:17-19 (TLB)
17 I will take the line and plummet of justice to check the foundation wall you built; it looks so fine, but it is so weak a storm of hail will knock it down! The enemy will come like a flood and sweep it away, and you will be drowned.
18 I will cancel your agreement of compromise with Death and the devil, so when the terrible enemy floods in, you will be trampled into the ground.
19 Again and again that flood will come and carry you off, until at last the unmixed horror of the truth of my warnings will finally dawn on you.”
As you will recall Israel has made an agreement with the arm of the flesh for its protection rather than turn back to God and worship Him with a whole heart. As we know, He is the only true and total protection but we must be with Him, really with Him. I believe this type of thing which happened over and over to this day and even in our own lives, this type of thing is in and out of fellowship with God. We always be humbly before the Lord and examining what we think, what we say, what we do, the fruits of our lives, what we believe and why, is it in the Bible. If you have read my latest book, Sacred Cows Among the Ekklesia” which only scratches the surface you know the body of Christ is rife with other words than those of God. The consequences are not benign but catastrophic. So, in our primary text, God is telling His people that this agreement, for really Satan’s protection, will be of no benefit and they are about to be trampled underfoot. This has got to grieve the heart of our nothing but good God, who is also just, to bring justice to a people or an individual.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
