IN THAT PLACE
Wednesday – July 24, 2019, Tamuz 21, 5779

Greeting dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this powerful, encouraging, and empowering Bible Study of the book of John. Can you believe it, “hump day” all over again? If you are reading this on Facebook please take just a moment and hit the “share” and “like” buttons, even tag your friends as the Lord leads you. These studies, this very Ministry is focused primarily upon strengthening the body of Christ, which is the body of Anointing in the earth. Another way to say it is that we as individuals and a corporate body have the Anointing (the Holy Spirit) upon and within us and we constitute the body of God in the earth. Direction comes from the head and is carried out by the body just as in our human bodies. The featured pictures this week with the exception of the Friday edition are from my sweetheart’s birth State, Massachusetts. Now let’s turn our attention to the Bible Study, first reading our primary text from the Book of John aloud.
John 11:28-32 (KJV)
28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.
29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.
30 Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.
31 The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep there.
32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
As we pick up this testimony it seems that Jesus and His entourage have stopped at some place between Judea and Bethany. The place that Martha met Him on the road seems to be the same place that Mary meets Him on the road to Bethany. There were Jews at the house grieving with Mary and they assumed that she was going to the grave to weep there. Since the word “Jews” is used we can safely assume that this is part of the same crowd that want to kill Jesus. Notice that when Mary arrives at the place where Martha met Him that she says exactly the same thing as her sister Martha. She saw Him as Lord and fell at His feet, had faith for healing but unlike Martha does not have faith for a raising from the dead.
John 11:32-37 (KJV)
32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,
34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.
35 Jesus wept.
36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!
37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?
Like Martha and Mary have we ever accused Jesus of not being there for us in the time of need? One thing I want to be very clear to me and to you is that it is never God’s fault when bad things take root in our lives.
John 10:10 (KJV)
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The devils of course present us with all kinds of options with regard to bringing the curse into our lives. Of course, they don’t present it as bringing the curse but as a good option according to our natural understanding. As Scripture commands us we are not to lean to our own understanding but to the Word of God. So long as we have incompletely renewed minds, we will need to lean upon the Word whether we understand it or not. It must be enough that He said it. Deception is possible when we have not been renewing our mind to the mind of Christ, when we are not abiding in the shadow of the Most High, and when we allow our faith in the Word of God to waver. As we end for today give careful consideration to verse thirty-three which is where I will pick up tomorrow, Lord willing.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
