AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

INCREASING PEACE FOREVER
Greetings dear children of God and welcome back to our Bible Study of the Book of Isaiah. This is a powerful (of course they all are) Book with many Prophecies of the coming Messiah. As we move forward, please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible to expand the reach of this Ministry, the reach of the Truth. The featured picture today is from one of my game camera’s when we had the ranch. A wonderful chapter in my life but that is not to diminish this wonderful chapter of life Donna and I now share. Yesterday before we dove into our primary Scripture I asked the question, “Where are the David’s of today? I am talking about the David who was a shepherd boy and God chose to be King then called him a man after His own heart (1 Sam 13:14, Acts 13:22)?” Were the lion, the bear, and Goliath at Church or in his prayer closet? Do we see David engaged in any special preparations before each encounter? The answer to both is a resounding “yes”, his capacity, his relationship with God, his faith in God started in his prayer chamber (shepherds’ fields) and each was preparation for what followed. There are many Goliath’s in the land taunting the Church, where is David? Perhaps I don’t need to but I want to remind each of us that our foes are not flesh and blood but spiritual. We fight (and win) against the evil spirit forces behind the natural peoples.
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The people are not our problem, the demons are. Those same people free of the demons and born again might be our very best friends and allies. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Scripture and continue reading aloud. You have been reading out loud, right? You know why!
Isaiah 9:6-9 (KJV)
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
8 The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.
9 And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,
We looked at there being no end to “the increase of his government” yesterday as indicating forever as in eternity. Could He be speaking only of the current age and therefore not forever. When we look at the definition of the phrase “no end” we find it means never not existing. A little later on in the verse we find the phrase “for ever” which seems to point beyond the current age and to even that which is to come. So, if we take the Word just as it is written we conclude that there will be no end to the increase of both the government of Jesus (Kingdom of God) and His peace. Keep in mind this not just about Christ Jesus but it is also about us, our part in the Kingdom is to be ever increasing, and our peace is to be ever increasing.
Let’s take a little closer look at the word ‘peace’. One person defined it as nothing missing and nothing broken. This word translated ‘peace’ is the Hebrew word shālôm according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary meaning to be safe, well, happy, friendly, having health, prosperity, peace (tranquility), and having rest also according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. So, when the Word tells us that peace is going to increase and there will never be an end to the increase that is a really big mouthful. One might wonder how some of these aspects of peace can increase without end. However, the day is rapidly approaching when it will all be clear, for now let’s just receive His Word and believe His Word. There may be many other Scriptures we don’t understand but we believe them and pray for understanding. Over time the Holy Spirit, our Teacher, will build our revelation knowledge and we may come to understand on this side of Heaven. If not, the teaching continues and we will come to understand on the other side.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
