AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

IT WAS YET DARK
Greetings to our friends and partners and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog. The featured picture of a portion of the Belgrade Stream here in Maine which is beautiful but you can feel the cold just looking at it. Just like the featured picture is a pretty, the enemy will sometimes paint a pretty picture and sometimes a bleak picture. He picks the one he believes has the highest chance of success. Perhaps one he has worked on us before and has seen work. Or perhaps he has seen it work on those gone before us (our family).
Let me tell you with certainty that we are on the cusp of the greatest uninterrupted awakenings to God (through His Rising Remnant). There have been many awakenings, revivals, down through the centuries. None lasted due to the complacency of God’s people. God’s people got comfortable, complacent, and did not push forward to do the works Jesus did and the greater things. The good news is that this nation is about to come down on a firm foundation, but the current established traditional organized Church is not. The Prophets of God have spoken and God is performing those Words, seeing to it they come to pass. These last days of the Church in this dispensation will end as the Church started (Christianity). The end time Church (Rising Remnant) which turns the world upside down will be persecuted by elements in the world and the established Church, just as in Jesus day and that of the first century saints. Our attitude must be to say “what does that have to do with me” and let it flow off of us like water off a ducks back.
Many people are waiting for, looking for, God to move and have been for 2000 years. All the while God has been waiting for a people who will believe His Word and do it. God does not have authority to move independent of His people. That authority, dominion, was delegated by God (pleural) to mankind in the beginning and returned to mankind by The Word (Jesus) at His ascension to the right Hand of the Father. If this varies with what you believe or teach at your Church or denomination, just study the Word for yourself to rightly divide it and find all the Truth. Let us plunge forward with all rejoicing. Church, people of God, let’s get our eyes off of flesh and blood and onto the work of the Kingdom. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 20:1-4 (KJV)
1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
2 Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.
3 Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.
4 So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.
Let’s start off by further examining the importance of the phrase “it was yet dark” and then we will turn to the phrase Jesus used that He, “the Son of man”, would be “in the heart of the earth”.
Matthew 12:39-40 (KJV)
39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Jesus yielded up His ghost (spirit/soul) at 3 pm on Thursday (daytime) and was buried before 6 pm but more importantly from the moment of physical death He was “in the heart of the earth”. The first day was Thursday day and Thursday night, the second day was Friday day and Friday night, and the third day was Saturday day and Saturday night. The stone is rolled away before daylight (6 am) on Sunday morning. If He arose after daybreak a fourth day would have come and Scripture would have been broken. This is a seemingly insignificant point to some but is vital and faith producing. If you read the latter part of Exodus thirteen (see the day and night pattern) with the children of Israel leaving Egypt and crossing the Red Sea we have a type and shadow of Jesus, the Cross, the Resurrection and the Redemption purchased for all. Our Lord is risen!
Lord willing, I will pick up tomorrow with Jesus Words of being in the heart of the earth.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
