JUDGE OF ALL
Tuesday – July 24, 2018, Av 12, 5778

Greetings and welcome back to this wonderful faith building Bible Study from the Book of Hebrews. Faith is the only thing that truly pleases God (Hebrews 11:6), it comes only one way (Romans 10:17), and it is the only thing that gives us the victory (1 John 5:4). Seems like this faith thing is well worth pursuing (understatement). So, let us get about the business of increasing our faith by reading aloud our primary Bible text.
Hebrews 12:22-24 (KJV)
22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
What an awesome reality is being painted for us by the writer of this wonderful text. I understand that from our position in Christ Jesus at the right hand of the Father we cannot look about and see Heaven but it is our reality. We must be mindful that we are indeed seated there in Heaven and we are on assignment in the earth. There is a duality (two places at once) of our spirit man. This is demonstrated in the natural realm that electrons (part of an atom) can be in two places at once. The interesting thing is that although separated both electrons react in the same way to the same circumstances. We must learn to look at all things in this earthly life as if looking from Heaven and let it have the same effect as looking from Heaven. Remember, we the body of Christ, like Christ Himself are far above all evil spirits.
Ephesians 1:20-23 (KJV)
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
We have dominion over the natural things (storms etc.) of earth (not people), the evil spirits in the earth, and we command the holy angels and Holy Spirit in the earth. That being true, why are we always in such a mess and in fear? Now, let’s focus on the term “Judge of all”. As with all Scripture it is important to interpret each one in context. Our text is talking about people in Heaven so it is not addressing the Judge of all people but the Judge of all in Heaven. Each of us at some point following our physical death in the earth or following the Rapture (resurrection) will stand at the Bema Seat or Judgment Seat of Christ. This judgment is not to determine Heaven or Hell but rewards and assignments.
1 Corinthians 3:11-15 (KJV)
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Consider the following Scriptures concerning the Bema of Christ.
Romans 14:10 (KJV)
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:10 (KJV)
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
There is another judgment and that is the great White Throne Judgment conducted by the Father. This judgment has to do with those who are not in Heaven or called to Heaven at the Catching Away nor in the third wave of the First Resurrection. Let’s review the following Scripture.
Revelation 20:10-15 (KJV)
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
All who did not honor God under the First Covenant or the Second Covenant and have physically died are in Hell awaiting this judgment. Those who are on the earth after the final resurrection of saints are called to this judgment. Every person appearing at this judgment goes to hell and the judgment is according to their works so it appears there are different levels of Hell. As for me I want no part of Hell.
Until our next publication, I speak this Scriptural prayer for your life right now, receive it in the name of Jesus, confess it, and walk it out with thanksgiving.
2 Peter 1:2-4 (KJV)
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
