LIFE IN HEAVEN – PART SEVENTEEN
Saturday – August 18, 2018, Elul 7, 5778

TIME FRAME FOUR
Genesis 3:6 to Hebrews 1:3
Precious saints of God welcome back to this wonderful study of Life in Heaven across eight time periods, all a continuum, all a tiny fragment of eternity. We are in the fourth time-frame or what commonly might be called the Old Testament era. Some of what I talk about in these teachings (Life in Heaven) is not directly supported by chapter and verse but I believe is supported by the whole counsel of Scripture and what we know about God from Scripture. Last Saturday I left off talking about the mandates given man by God in the Garden of Eden and how these are eternal mandates. We know this to be true because God changes not, He does not have one set of rules or way of doing things today and another tomorrow.
I talked about the fact that there were no persons of the god class (none of mankind) in Heaven excepting the Divine Trinity in this time period until God took Enoch and Elijah to Heaven whole. That is to say spirit, soul, and body. I discussed the knowledge that all men in the Old Testament era were dead spiritually and a dead spirit cannot be present in Heaven except perhaps by a special dispensation of God which there is no mention of in all of Scripture. Alternatively, I noted that both of these men reached into another dispensation by faith, that of Grace, and life in Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit and were likely born again out of time.
I also talked about faith in the context of Enoch, Elijah and a discussion of Moses to come. First however I would like to drop something on you, that the Lord dropped on me concerning faith. We talk a lot about faith in Christian circles but I am not convinced that most Christians understand faith and how it works or our part concerning functioning (producing) faith. I am not going to explore all of that today but perhaps we can get a little peek. Let’s take a look at the following Scripture.
John 16:11 (KJV)
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
John 16:11 (TLB)
11 there is deliverance from judgment because the prince of this world has already been judged.
Jesus is speaking here and is speaking concerning the coming of Holy Spirit when He returns to Heaven. Jesus is in the earth speaking, He has not yet gone to the Cross and neither has He gone into Hell and defeated the devil and destroyed the works of the Devil yet He is speaking in past tense. As far as Jesus was concerned this was a done deal, there was no question in His mind about whether or not all things spoken would be performed, in fact, He viewed them as already performed. Once the will of God is known and spoken we are to refer to it as done and thank Him for it. This is essential to functioning verses theoretical faith. We got our faith from God (spiritual DNA), we have the very same faith as our Heavenly Father, and the very same faith Jesus used in the earth. Of course, when we are born again we have baby faith (weak) but with time and diligence we can have faith like our Father, like the Master. All peoples (saint and sinner alike) have faith but the people of God have supernatural faith that even in tiny amounts moves mountains. So, what are the mountains in your life? You have a responsibility before God to remove those hindrances in your life and it is done by faith, motivated or powered by love, as led of Holy Spirit. We have a lot of examples of mountain moving in Scripture but for now I would direct you to Mark 11:22-24 without forgetting verse twenty-five.
Now, let’s talk and think about Moses before I finish for this Saturday. The Scripture is clear that Moses died and was buried and we have no record of him being resurrected until Jesus was resurrected.
Deuteronomy 34:5-7 (KJV)
5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.
6 And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
7 And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
Jude 1:9 (KJV)
9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Saturday with this very exciting study of Life in Heaven. God is so good! Until our next publication, confess the following passage and walk before Whom we have to do with great rejoicing and thanksgiving. This physical body is our humiliation but soon it will be no more for the glory of God and our eternal benefit.
John 14:1-4 (KJV)
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
