PUT AWAY ALL PRIDE

Greetings precious saints of God and welcome back to this wonderful Bible Study of the Book of Isaiah. Remember, all Scripture is given as an example and for our learning.
1 Corinthians 10:11 (KJV)
11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Romans 15:4 (KJV)
4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
If we will study and do, we can avoid the disasters of those who have gone before us and we can rise to heights beyond those who have gone before us as well. There is no ceiling in God so let us not limit our thinking to that of Job, Abraham, Solomon, or even Jesus. The only ceiling in our life is the one we ourselves impose. The devils will tell us day and night we are worms in the dirt destined to suffer until Jesus comes or they (devils by way of our thoughts and mouth) get the door open far enough to kill us.
Please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. The picture today is of the Supreme Court of these United States. I present this to remind us all to not only to pray for all in authority as commanded but as led of the Holy Spirit to focus on the Supreme Court. Justice is returning to the land and the heathen are raging.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Scripture text for today continuing to read out loud. You are reading out loud, right? Our text is in The Living Bible translation.
Isaiah 26:3-8 (TLB)
3 He will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in him, whose thoughts turn often to the Lord!
4 Trust in the Lord God always, for in the Lord Jehovah is your everlasting strength.
5 He humbles the proud and brings the haughty city to the dust; its walls come crashing down.
6 He presents it to the poor and needy for their use.
7 But for good men the path is not uphill and rough! God does not give them a rough and treacherous path, but smooths the road before them.
8 O Lord, we love to do your will! Our hearts’ desire is to glorify your name.
We are been studying about trusting the Lord meditating upon Him often, more often than any other thing, activity, or person. Let’s just take a moment to remind ourselves about this Hebrew word transliterated to English as bāṭaḥ is a verb indicating to trust, to be confident in, bringing the feeling of safety and security that is felt when one can rely on someone or something else according to The Complete Word Study Dictionary – Old Testament. I think we can see here that the trust has to be absolute. Some of the meditating can be silent but some must be audible at least to ourselves, that is how faith comes and is built. When it comes to the Word of God, what it says is the only option for us. The payoff is “perfect peace”. Who is the world wouldn’t want perfect peace? It turns out many. We are told that it is possible to have perfect peace, which by the way is way more than a tranquil environment, and how to have perfect peace. Yet many in the body of Christ are in constant turmoil with things missing and broken in their lives. Why? It always boils down to unbelief, pure and simple.
Are the proud and haughty only among the heathen? God hates, it is an abomination to Him, pride. Remember there is a difference between confidence, faith in God, and pride, it is an issue of the heart. In one case, faith in God, it is all about Him and others, and in the other case it is all about me. As a friend of mine pointed out recently, I, is right in the middle of pride. See the “I” right there, the first sin by Lucifer. When we enter into pride, haughtiness, we are acting like the devil quite literally. Our house will fall and be left to others.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
