SEVEN MOUNTAINS OR PILLARS – PART THIRTEEN

WHO IS BUILDING THE HOUSE?

Greetings dear saints, sons of God and all others joining. Welcome to this enlightening and inspiring study of the Seven Mountains also referred to as pillars or gates. Of the Seven Mountains, thus far we have discussed the Mountain of Religion, Media, Education, and Business. Today i will continue to focus on the “Government Mountain” and the three co-equal branches. I finished with the Judicial Branch yesterday and today I will pick up with the Legislative Branch. I also want to remind all of us to pray for each of the seven mountains, especially the mountains to which we are assigned and therefore have jurisdiction, and authority over.

As I discussed yesterday it is we, the people of God, that have responsibility, stewardship, over the earth, all that God has put in our hand. It is our responsibility to bring Heaven to earth in our respective areas of responsibility. God has not changed, He does not change, and He does not lie. The following Scriptures are as much for us today as Adam and Eve in the day God spoke these words.

Genesis 1:26-28 (KJV)

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Genesis 2:15 (KJV)

15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

Are we mindfully doing these things or just kind of mindlessly bumping along through life singing what we call “worship” songs. I said it that way because the word “worship” has been hijacked to the “song service” in Church gatherings. Worship is not singing, it obedience to the Word of God 24/7. Now let’s talk about the Legislative Branch of our government. As you know our legislative branch is bicameral, meaning it has two parts. One part is the House of Representatives, and the other part is the Senate. Let’s see what the Lord said to Moses through his father-in-law Jethro about the dividing of power and governing.

Exodus 18:19-22 (KJV)

19 Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God:

20 And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.

21 Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:

22 And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee.     

This counsel was of the Lord. If you read carefully, you can easily see the various levels of government. The Lord through Jethro also emphasized these people who were chosen to govern needed to be taught the ordinances and laws themselves. The Lord also defined the aspects of character these men were to have exhibited. When we get down to the 22^nd verse we can see the court system with things being referred to a higher court, finally to the Supreme Court of the State or Nation. As I wrap it up for today remember, take to heart the following verses.

Proverbs 14:34 (KJV)

34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

The righteousness spoken of here is right standing with God and right, just, doing according to God. Sin drags a nation down and we have been watching that for many years here in the United States. This has happened due to isolationism in the Church and really bad teaching.

Psalm 127:1 (KJV)

1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

Who is building your house, this house called the United States of America? Are we listening to the watchmen?

On a personal note, today is my parents birthdays! They were both born on May 11^th but two years apart. They are both in Heaven today. I was blessed (didn’t think so at the time) to have them as my parents.

TAKE HOME:

1. We are made in the likeness and image of God, of like kind and have been given dominion over the earth, not other men, but we have complete dominance over demons.
2. God has given us His Blessing (Holy Spirit and Power) to back up all that we say. Remember, idle words (words spoken we don’t believe) will be judged at the Judgement Seat of Christ.
3. Are we pursuing God’s righteousness and His plan for this nation?

As the Lord wills, I will return tomorrow with fresh revelation. The Lord bless and keep you and yours.  Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
