THE GATES OF HELL CANNOT WITHSTAND US

Greetings dear saints, sons of God and all others joining. Welcome to this enlightening and inspiring study of the Seven Mountains also referred to as pillars or gates. I will be continuing today with the “Religion Mountain”. Whoever controls the gates to a city in ancient times controlled the city. In the context of these teachings when I use the word “controlled” I am not saying it as making one do this or that but as the ones having the greatest influence. Do we see a clear Judeo-Christian influence in all seven mountains? How do we, the Church, individually and as a body have that influence? By rising in every arena of life because the glory of God is upon us and all are drawn to the light. As we move forward let’s look at the assignment on Jesus’ life and is on our life as well. As I will discuss shortly our assignment as individuals and a Church is much larger.
Luke 4:18-19 (KJV)
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Do we believe that the Spirit of the Lord is upon each of us? Are we anointed to preach the gospel to the poor. Yes, poor financially and spiritually, but principally financially. Are we about the business of healing the brokenhearted? Do we tell the captives that deliverance is theirs? Do we tell the physically and spiritually blind that clear vision is theirs in Christ Jesus? What about those that are hobbled by the curse? Are people aware, including in the Church, that salvation is way more than fire insurance and a personal home in Heaven. Jesus said we were to do all of these and more. Listen to Jesus.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Now, the greater works.
Isaiah 61:4-5 (KJV)
4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
Is the Church doing these things or do we see the “old wastes” becoming worse, the desolated areas becoming more desolate, cities becoming like waste dumps? Why is this? It is not being preached as widely as it must be before the end. Dear ones, the end is not coming until we are that glorious Church. There is a myth perpetrated by the demons that Luke 4 and Isaiah 61 happens in the Church. No, it is to be happening as a result of the saints in every mountain.
Many in the body of Christ are thinking they are engaged in a war with demonic powers but that is a demonic lie. Jesus won the war we are to exercise our delegated authority over the demons and occupy all that Jesus won back, which is everything. I taught on the following passage just recently but let’s take another look.
Matthew 16:18-19 (KJV)
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Jesus is building His Church. How? With the Word of God. The Word of God, received, believed, in our thoughts, our mouths, and in our doing. Jesus tells us clearly that the “gates of hell shall not prevail against it”. The “it” here is the Church either individually or corporately. The gates are what allow things in or out, the gates give access and influence. The demons will puff up real big and make us think they are the gate keepers, the ones above and not beneath, and we just need to praise Jesus at Church. Just as the walls of Jericho fell with the obedience of the children of Israel and a shout so will the mountains, obstacles, the demonic powers place before us. With the words of our mouth God will either remove the mountain or maintain it. Words of faith free of doubt walking in love allows God to remove the mountain. Words of doubt keeps the mountain in place. As I finish for today lets consider the following verse.
Romans 8:37 (KJV)
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
What is the world is a “more than conquerors”? Jesus won the war and stripped Satan of all he got from Adam, now we are free to occupy all that was ours from the beginning before sin. We don’t need to conquer but occupy.
TAKE HOME:
- We are to be about all that Jesus did and more.
- The gates of Hell cannot withstand a son of God.
- We are more than conquerors!
