SIN – RIGHTEOUSNESS – JUDGMENT
Wednesday – June 10, 2020, Sivan 18, 5780
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog where we are exploring the wonderful Book of John. Todays featured picture was taken recently on the Maine coast in E. Boothbay. Please take a moment to share these teachings each day to expand the reach of this Ministry. God is so very good dear ones. Wow, this year is speeding by, just a few more days and it is half gone. Have we redeemed the time? What have we learned over the last three months during this Pandemic? How have we used the time? What has been our focus? Have we focused on ourselves, our flesh, or have we focused on God, the Word of God, and chosen to be led of the Spirit? Has it been business as usual? Has it been a time to complain and rail against things, people, and the government? Have we used this challenge and time to perfect our patience, purge the extraneous in our lives, and seek the Lord? Has our personal response and that of the corporate Church to this pestilence been Godly? What are our plans to be ready for the next wave? Now, let’s turn our focus to our primary Bible text and read it out loud, aloud, yes, out loud.
John 16:8-12 (KJV)
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
God is so very good dear ones, there is nothing bad in Him, He does not have a dark side. God is good and God is abundance. The thief is the one who steals, kills, and destroys. God has nothing to do with not enough or just enough, He is all about overflowing abundance. If you have been taught otherwise do some studying and find the Truth. The Truth makes us free of all the bondages of the enemy if we receive it, believe it, and do it. Are you ready to do this? Discard the awful traditions of men and the doctrines of demons. These traditions and doctrines are other words and other gods which are devoid of power and devoid of the abundance of God.
Jesus has told the disciples and us that He is about to go but they will not be left alone or without help. He is sending the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement. He does the same for His own as well. He leads us into all the Truth.
John 16:13 (KJV)
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
We don’t come to know the Truth by osmosis (the process of gradual or unconscious assimilation of ideas, knowledge), we must study the Word of God. We must be diligent!
2 Timothy 2:15-16 (KJV)
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (Bold added)
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
2 Peter 3:14 (KJV)
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. (Bold added)
Is the Lord finding our hearts at peace? Now, back to verse eight. One function, of many, of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, is to convict the world (unsaved) of sin, of the need for right standing (righteousness) with God, and the coming judgement. As I pointed out yesterday (Romans 1:20) no one will have a compelling argument of innocence before the Judgement Seat. Neither will any of us, Christians, have a compelling argument, excuse, for our unrepented sin. The Scripture tells us that all will have known and had opportunity to make Jesus Lord. God is just (fair beyond comparison).
Psalm 89:14 (KJV)
14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
We Christians need to maintain righteousness and sinners need to gain righteousness by the Blood of Jesus and their testimony. Righteousness is right standing with God and it comes only one way and that is by the Blood of Jesus, making Jesus Lord, and believing the Father raised Jesus from the dead. Confess with our mouth and believe in our heart unto salvation. At that moment we are translated from a place of certain destruction to a place of absolute safety. God is so good. Finally, the Comforter, convicts, makes the world and us to know there is absolute justice, a judgment is to come. For the sinner the White Throne Judgement and for the saint the Judgement Seat of Christ.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
