VETERANS – COVENANT NATION – THE CURSE THE CAUSE

Greetings to all and welcome back to our study of “The Curse Causeless”. Before we jump back into it I want to acknowledge that today is Veterans Day, a day when we honor all that have served honorably in the Armed Forces of these United States. Memorial Day on the other hand honors all that have died in the service to this nation. This Ministry salutes all who have served and we thank you for your service. I served our country with eight years of active duty, in the Medical Corp as a physician. I served four years at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso Texas and four years at Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio Texas. All really good years.
I also want to remind us that it was on this date in 1620 that the Pilgrams who had landed at Plymouth Rock made covenant with God. We are a Blood Covenant nation with God, and you can read more about that in my book titled “AMERICA A COVENANT NATION”. The following is that covenant.
“We whose names are underwriten, the loyall subjects of our dread soveraigne Lord King James, by the grace of God, of Great Britaine, Franc, & Ireland king, defender of the faith, &c., having undertaken, for the glorie of God, and advancemente of the Christian faith, and honour of our king and countrie, a voyage to plant the first colonie in the Northerne parts of Virginia, doe by these presents solemnly & mutually in the presence of God, and one of another, covenant & combine our selves together into a civill body politik, for our better ordering and preservation and furtherance of the ends aforesaid; and by virtue hearof to enacte, constitute, and frame such just & equall lawes, ordinances, acts, constitutions & offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meete & convenient for ye generall good of ye Colonie, unto which we promise all due submission and obedience.”

Now, let’s get back to our study of “The Curse Causeless”.
The curse comes to all persons saint and sinner alike. However, we and the saints of old have a fail proof weapon against the curse. With the Word of God, we can maintain a healthy but aging body and resisting death. All financial lack, illness, and all things that steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10) in our lives are of the curse. The Word of God is an impenetrable defense if we believe it, think it, speak it. When we believe something else, think contrary to the Word and speak contrary to the Word of God the curse has entrance. Ignorance of the Word or failure to use the Word also allows the curse entrance. I wanted to bring this up early in our study for it will be important later.
Let’s think a bit more about what allows the curse to have a greater place in our lives than the “natural” aging and inevitable death. Keep in mind the curse (natural and demonic forces) is at work in every arena of our lives, always in a negative direction. To avoid confusion this would include finances, health, and family but not exclusive to those arenas. As a bit of an aside, demonic forces are also pushing us away from the Truth with the traditions of men, doctrines of demons, the adoption of sacred cows, and unforgiveness. These things are an accelerant to the curse allowed to be at work in a fallen creation. Now, let’s move forward.
Ecclesiastes 10:8 (AMP)
8 He who digs a pit [for others] will fall into it, and whoever breaks through a fence or a [stone] wall, a serpent will bite him.
Proverbs 4:23 (ESV)
23 Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
Springs of life can also be translated as borders of my life. The Word of God is the border of our lives! In the Word is safety, outside the Word is stealing, killing, and destroying, the devils bite, the curse.
TAKE HOME:
- Today is Veterans Day and honor all we have served honorably in our Armed Forces, and we thank you for your service.
- Today is also the 405th Anniversary of the Mayflower Compact. This is one of many other documents putting these United States in Blood Covenant with God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
- Scripture creates an impenetrable border or hedge for our lives, breaking Scripture give the serpent an opportunity to bite (steal, kill, and destroy).
