AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

THE GREATER THINGS – PART TWENTY

Welcome back to our Three Minute Word Sunday Bible Study focused on not only the works Jesus did but the greater works, both of which we are commanded to do. Not try to do, but do. Has this year so far been exciting enough for you? Just hang on. Don’t despair no matter what you hear or see. We trust the Lord. As the saying goes with our God, we will make wonderful lemonade out of lemons, we are more than conquers (Romans 8:37). This is a time of great shaking not just for the world but the Church. Judgment starts with the household of God.
1 Peter 4:17 (AMP)
17 For the time [has arrived] for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will [be] the end of those who do not respect or believe or obey the good news (the Gospel) of God?
The traditional organized Church will be shaken and found very wanting and descend even further into their current darkness. Do not despair, there is a rising remnant that will put all in order and straighten the way of the Lord.
Matthew 3:3 (KJV)
3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
Jeremiah 23:3-4 (KJV)
3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.
4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.
Each of us will decide whether to continue on the path of the traditional organized defeated fragmented Church or walk in the light with the “Rising Remnant”. What have you decided? I for one have decided to walk in the light and be fruitful, increase in every way, resist fear walking in love, repudiating confusion in my knowledge of God, and see lack in the rearview mirror with nothing but up and forward in every way ahead. Please don’t be offended in any way but prove all that I am writing. Is it Bible or not? Throw off the restraints of the traditions of men, the doctrines of demons, and the bondages of the religious ruling class. As we get closer to the end, the coming of the Lord, it will look more and more like the days when Jesus walked the earth. The early Church did the things Jesus did but what about now?
Acts 5:12-16 (KJV)
12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.
13 And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.
14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)
15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
Many argue that all this passed away with the last Apostle. Do we believe that, a tradition of men, a doctrine of demons, or do we believe the Bible, particularly the Word of the Master?
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
As I close for this week let’s take a look at another passage in red spoken by our Lord, Savior, and Head of the Church.
Acts 1:8 (KJV)
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
The word ‘power’ here is the wonder working power of God. This power is the Power of God and is with us, and in us, with the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is released when we use our authority in the earth in faith, in love, and led of the Holy Spirit.
Lord willing, we will pick up right here next Sunday. In the meantime, let’s get about our Father’s business. He is counting on us to make all of Jesus’ and our enemies Jesus’ footstool.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
