WOE IS ME

Greetings precious saints of God and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog and our study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. This is a wonderful and illuminating Book of Holy Scripture. The featured picture today was graciously provided by Bob and Kathy French, good friends and a man and woman of God. Thank you Bob and Kathy and I speak the Blessing over you in the name of Jesus. Please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible to expand the reach of this Ministry, the Truth. Thank you for sharing. Our purpose is to not just bring things (thoughts, words, and actions) that are true to your attention but to bring Truth front and center. Prove everything by the Word of God, the ONLY source of Truth, by at least two witnesses, be a good Berean.
Acts 17:11 (KJV)
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Just because mamma and them, our Pastor, and everybody at our Church says something and believes a certain thing does not make it the Truth. Prove all things, be a good Berean! As I was pondering before the Lord what I would write this week as a preamble or Word from the Lord, He quickened me to the following passage. There is much to say about this but I will not say it all today.
2 Corinthians 5:17-21 (KJV)
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Yesterday I spent a little time with the phrase in Christ. The word ‘Christ’ can be translated as Messiah, Anointed One, or Anointing. Jesus is the Messiah, He is the Anointed One, and He just like us accomplished all things by way of the Anointing (the Holy Spirit). Remember that Jesus said He and the Father were one, the Father in Him, He in the Father, and that we were to be one in them.
John 17:21 (KJV)
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
Once we are filled, baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues we are in the Holy Trinity and they are in us!
Acts 1:5 (KJV)
5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
The word ‘baptized’ means to be fully immersed, in this case in the Holy Spirit.
Acts 1:8 (KJV)
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Here we see that the Holy Spirit is upon us. This is not the case at salvation but with a second and separate experience with God called the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. At salvation the Holy Spirit comes within and quickens or makes alive (a resurrection from the dead) our spirit man and He reside within.
2 Corinthians 4:7 (KJV)
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
Now for just a moment let’s direct our attention to our text in Isaiah.
Isaiah 6:3-7 (KJV)
3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
Isaiah exclaimed “woe is me!” recognizing that his lips were unclean and that he dwelt in the midst of unclean people. Isn’t it interesting that attention is brought to focus on the words of the mouth? We must understand that our words set the course of our lives (James chapter three). Unclean here has to do with speaking unbelief and doubt, that is things contrary to the Word of God. Isn’t this reminiscent of Peter some 700 years later.
Luke 5:8 (KJV)
8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
