THE PLACE OF SAFETY – PART ONE

Greetings to our wonderful friends and partners of this Eastern Gate Ministries International Ministry and The Three Minute Word blog.
Before we dive into the teaching for today I want to bring everyone up to date on a Sabbatical Moments project in the fund raising and planning stage. The Lord has asked us to put new vinyl siding on the Beacon of Hope Church of God in Bangor Maine. The exterior is in terrible condition. 
Our fundraising is 65% complete, 20% pledged and in the mail, and 15% as yet unfunded. Please donate as the Lord leads.
I recently did a two-part video teaching concerning “The Place of Safety” and this is the written equivalent. I hope that you enjoyed the video teaching and I know you will enjoy and benefit (we all will) from these written teachings. The featured picture for this teaching series is of two people walking with Jesus. Consider the following verse in two different translations.
Amos 3:3 (KJV)
3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Perhaps we are thinking, “I’m saved, of course I am walking with Jesus”. How would one know?
Amos 3:3 (CJB)
3 Do two people travel together without having so agreed?
“CJB” is the Complete Jewish Bible, I assumed everyone knew that “KJV” is King James Version of the Bible. In order to walk together with Jesus, or walk with Jesus, we must be in complete agreement with Jesus. Jesus is the Word, the Word of God.
John 1:1 (CJB)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 (CJB)
14 The Word became a human being and lived with us, and we saw his Sh’khinah, the Sh’khinah of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.
Jesus was and is the Word. He was and is God (second person of the Triune Co-equal God). He became a human being, flesh and blood, just like us to be our sacrifice and bring the restitution (currently not complete) of all things. The “Sh’khinah” of God is the glory (Glory – manifestation of the Holy Spirit) of God for all to see and it is always really good. The absolute pinnacle of the goodness of God (the Father) far and away is the Son, Christ Jesus, coming into the earth as our substitute to take away the sins of the world (our sin). He exchanged His righteousness for our sin giving us the same standing with God that He had, has. What a deal dear saints of God. When we are walking with Jesus, in the Word, we are in a place of absolute safety in every sphere. When we are not walking according to the Word, with Jesus who is the Word, we are not in safety. We move out of the light (what we know), off the path, into the dark, we become wolf or lion bait. All the while we may be thinking we are safe but the reality is that we are walking in the deceptions of the devil. Never a good place to be. We must be ever vigilant to walk in the light, walk on the path with Jesus, walk hand in hand with Grace (favor, help of the Holy Spirit) and Truth (Word of God, Holy Spirit, Jesus, Love). We must be good Berean’s and we must be diligent to study the Word of God.
Acts 17:10-12 (KJV)
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few. (Bold added)
Are we doing this or are we assuming that all we hear and see is the Truth? We must prove all things.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-23 (KJV)
16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
19 Quench not the Spirit.
20 Despise not prophesyings.
21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. (Bold added)
22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Are we rejoicing in our God, are we talking with God throughout the day, are we continually giving thanks to God, are we allowing the Holy Spirit to move in and through us, are we taking the time to prove by two or three witnesses all things, and are we avoiding even the appearance of evil? When we do what the Apostle Paul says by the unction of the Holy Spirit, what will be our condition? We will be blameless! In that state we are in the absolute safety zone. Now, lets be diligent to study and rightly divide the Word of Truth, the Word of God.
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (Bold added)
If the Word of Truth can be rightly divided it can be wrongly divided. Let us diligently seek to avoid all error for error takes us into darkness, off the road and away from Christ Jesus. I will endeavor to pick up right here next week.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
