GIFTS – PART THIRTY-ONE
A LEGAL FOUNDATION FOR SALVATION

Greetings to our dear and wonderful friends and partners of this Ministry and followers of The Three Minute Word blog. God is so good precious saints of God. If you are not a saint of God you can change that in about five seconds. Simply declare Jesus is your Lord and that you believe the Father raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Ask the Lord right now if you are to share this or not. What did He say? What did you do? I hope that all of us have been earnestly practicing hearing the voice of the Lord during this Coronavirus pestilence. In times like this, really at all times, it is wise to inquire of the Lord before we do things. For example, did we inquire of the Lord about when and how to get our groceries this week or did we just plan our days with no thought about what the Lord had to say? Did we mindlessly or even earnestly declare God’s protections from His Word and then not ask for His wisdom in our daily plans? Not inquiring and following the leadership of the Holy Spirit or the Word of God is tempting the Lord, which is sin. It is sin for we are being led by self or by our spiritual enemies. Then we wonder why bad things happen.
In this Friday Bible Study series, we are exploring the gifts of God thus the title “Gifts”. For the last thirty weeks I have been showing the legal foundation upon which the coming of the Messiah was based. This was necessary to our salvation, the blotting out of sin, our redemption from the curse. God had given dominion (authority) in the earth to mankind and therefore then and now works through people. A man, at least one, in the earth has to speak the will of God and this permits God to act. This is how God set it up, argue with Him. So, God finally found a man named Abram who would work with Him and the Hebrews or Jewish peoples were born and the Messiah had a legal pathway into the earth. I said finally found a man for we don’t know how many people He approached and would not work with Him and finally enter into a Blood Covenant. Abram later called Abraham was that man and when that Covenant was tested it stood, the law of reciprocity was in place, and the coming of the Messiah was assured.
God gave man freewill right from the get go and we (mankind and each of us individually) have exercised that freewill sometimes in wisdom and sometimes in great folly. Examples of the authority of man in the earth is seen before the fall and the freewill of man in the fall. Anyone that believes it was the will of God for man to fall, bringing the curse and the carnage of the last six thousand years into the earth does not know the Jesus, the Father, I know. An example of authority is seen in the naming of the animals. Let’s look at that.
Genesis 2:18-20 (KJV)
18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
Why didn’t God just announce to Adam the names of the various animals? God did not have the authority to do so, that authority rested with Adam (Genesis 1:26). The animals were brought forth from the earth on the fifth and sixth days of creation. Man was brought forth, created, on the sixth day. Once man was created all authority for what happens in the earth passed to him (them). That may seem like minutia or incidental information but it is critical to our understanding of all the Bible. In the earth, God is not in control, man is in control in the earth. God is upholding all things in the earth and elsewhere. He is upholding all spiritual and natural laws He put in place at the creation. There is an overarching plan God will bring to pass with the cooperation of His people (who will hear and do). This overarching plan includes things like the coming of the Messiah, the Rapture, the Second Coming, the Millennial Reign of Christ, and the new heaven and new earth. But even here the authority (dominion) of man has been exercised, these things have been spoken into the earth by the Prophets and thus He will bring them to pass. This control or authority includes the individual decisions of our day to day lives which are ours to make. When I say “ours to make” it is best if we are making these decisions in line with the Word of God and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. In the end, God makes us do nothing. I realize I have not gotten to our primary study but it is directly related to this study. Due to the freewill, the authority of man, God spent upwards of 58 years with Abram/Abraham some fifteen hundred years after sin to put this in place. If God were in control it could have been done that day in the Garden. Problem was the we don’t have any record of Adam or Eve repenting and being willing to enter into Covenant. Thus, the search started. Now, let’s read the text I will pick up with next week as we finish the foundation for the first and essential gift of salvation.
Genesis 22:15-19 (KJV)
15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
19 So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
