THE RIGHT HAND OF MAJESTY ON HIGH
Thursday – June 8, 2017

Greetings and blessing from Patti and me at The Three Minute Word publication. We are pleased that you have chosen, been led of the Spirit of God to study the Word of God with us. God is so good; the purging of our sins alone would have been wonderful enough but He purchased our full restoration. Everything He received, His salvation is also ours and He is more eager for us to receive every bit of it than perhaps we are to receive. The body of Christ is much too complacent and comfortable with compromise with the curse. In Christ Jesus eternal life is restored, we have right standing with God, we are restored to the family of God, we are citizens of the Kingdom of God, the Blessing (God’s power in us) is restored, we have the restoration of God’s authority and Power, we will soon have a physical body like unto His, and we are fully to His image and likeness as His representatives, to reveal Him and be an expression of God in the earth to accomplish all of His will.
Hebrews 1:1-3 (KJV)
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Today let’s start by focusing on the last phrase of Hebrews 1:3 telling us that His Son when He had purged us of our sins “sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” We are about to launch into a section of Scripture which records the Words of the Father on the day that Jesus was born again. This wonderful section is kicked off with the information that Jesus today is seated at the right hand of the Father, Jehovah God, in this passage referred to as Majesty on high. Notice that Jesus is seated, the position of a King. Remember Jesus is the King of kings, we are the kings of the earth, now, today, so perhaps we should start acting like it rather than feigning our false humility and doing our worm in the dirt act.
Revelation 1:4-6 (KJV)
4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
What a powerful passage from the Book of Revelation. Notice in the fifth verse that Jesus Christ is “the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.” Jesus is the prototype (example, model, original, archetype, or pattern) for those to follow who have been born from the dead. Jesus entered Hell spiritually dead but by His sinless blood (of the Lamb) and the words of His testimony (prior Prophecy) Justice had no choice but to raise Him from the Spiritual and physical death. This Scripture goes on to tell us that Jesus is “the prince of the kings of the earth.” We, at least I, tend to think of a prince to be of lesser rank than a king however that is not the case in Scripture. This is referring to the head of the kings as being the prince. We know from context and the remainder of the counsel of Scripture that this prince is Jesus, the Messiah, and the Anointed One. As we start to contemplate verse six it is clear that we are already kings and priests being made so at the point of salvation. The tense of the word ‘hath’ is aorist meaning that this designation is independent of time. There will never be a time when we are not kings nor a time when we are not priests to God (Jesus, the Word) and His Father.
The fact that it refers to Jesus as seated does not preclude that He can and does stand or otherwise move about. The seated notation is more indicative of His position as the Head of the Church. The seated position is also a modeling of the proper position for a king. A king sits upon his throne, issues a decree and then watches it be performed by whatever means are necessary. This is how God functioned in the creation and this is how Jesus functioned in His ministry. So, how should we be functioning since we are made in His image and likeness to do the things Jesus did and the greater things? As we are nearing the close of todays teaching let us be aware that we too are seated at the right hand of Majesty on high in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:5-7 (KJV)
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Wow, we are seated with each other and with Him at the right hand of the Father due to being in Christ Jesus. Many people either skim over this, ignore it, or spiritualize it somehow relegating it to some future time. We are right now seated at the right hand of the Father in Christ Jesus. People in Heaven can see us there right now! Enoch and Elijah are not the only ones taken to Heaven before seeing physical death. People believe that we cannot be in two places at once but it turns out that is not true, and perhaps in more than two places at one time. These things have been demonstrated by Quantum Physics. Notice that all of this is possible because of Christ Jesus. We must ask our God to teach us to see all things from Heaven’s view, nothing is a surprise to Heaven nor an overwhelming circumstance due to perspective and full awareness of our position with authority and power in Him. When we know ourselves and we know our enemy we can win every battle.
Until our next publication, I speak blessing into your life right now, receive it in the name of Jesus, confess it, and walk it out with thanksgiving.
Numbers 6:24-26 (KJV)
24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
