THE SECOND COMING

Greetings precious children of God and welcome back to this inspiring, empowering, and hope giving study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. As we precede forward, please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible to expand our reach with the gospel, the really good news. Thank you for sharing. By sharing you have a powerful role in the dissemination of the Truth. The featured picture today is of Bactrian Camel, two humps, to remind of this is hump day (Wednesday). These are difficult times in our own nation and around the world, let us pray for one another and have a steadfast faith in whom we trust, and in whom our unshakeable hope resides which is Christ Jesus.
Please notice the flow of this eleventh chapter of Isaiah. The first three verses deal with the first coming of Christ. The next two verses have to do with the Second Coming and the battle of Armageddon. It would be reasonable to conclude then that verses six through nine have to do with the Millennial Reign (and our reign with Him) of Christ over the whole earth, but do they? Now, let’s go forward reading our primary Bible text from the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 11:4-5 (KJV)
4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
Jesus is coming back! His Second Coming will be as Conquering King. At the end of the seven-year Tribulation period there will be a gathering of armies to annihilate the Jewish peoples (genocide). This is what is commonly referred to as Armageddon. But God, the One who never slumbers of sleeps watches over Israel and they will be redeemed.
Zechariah 14:2-4 (KJV)
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
Let’s read a little further about the end of the Tribulation, the transition into the Millennial Reign of Christ.
Revelation 19:15-21 (KJV)
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
At His appearing the surviving Jews will repent and receive Him as Messiah and the Covenant to take all their sin away will be fulfilled. Listen to the following wonderful passage.
Jeremiah 23:5-8 (KJV)
5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
8 But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.
Can you imagine the joyous look on Jesus’ face, the Father’s face on this wonderful day? There will be jubilation in Heaven and in earth when they are grafted back into the olive tree (Jesus is the vine).
Romans 11:26-27 (KJV)
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
He will subsequently reign and rule over the whole earth one thousand years and we with Him.
Isaiah 32:1 (KJV)
1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.
The King that reigns is Jesus, the Christ, and the princes are you and I dear ones. Now, read, listen to the following announcement.
