NO ONE SUES RIGHTEOUSLY

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to our Bible Study of this amazing Book of Isaiah. God is so good to give this ancient people and us a light for our path. The featured picture is of an old Church in the State of Hawaii. This is to remind us to pray for our local Church, the Church in our State, and the Church (body of Christ) in our nation. Much of the body of Christ is outside your denomination or lack of denomination. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah.

Isaiah 59:1-4 (NASB)

1 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not so short That it cannot save; Nor is His ear so dull That it cannot hear.

2 But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.

3 For your hands are defiled with blood And your fingers with iniquity; Your lips have spoken falsehood, Your tongue mutters wickedness.

4 No one sues righteously and no one pleads honestly. They trust in confusion and speak lies; They conceive mischief and bring forth iniquity.

Yesterday we left off with verse three as the Prophet described their nation then and our nation now. Another verse in this Book of Isaiah is so poignant on this matter of verse three.

Isaiah 5:20-23 (NASB)

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes And clever in their own sight!

22 Woe to those who are heroes in drinking wine And valiant men in mixing strong drink,

23 Who justify the wicked for a bribe, And take away the rights of the ones who are in the right!

This is on every side and the Lord makes it clear that when all is said and done, justice will prevail. The question to them, to us today, is how, why did the Church allow this to come to pass. It is always unbelief, sin, turning aside to other gods. One might exclaim, not me, not us, we love the Lord! Really? If that were true it would be impossible for us (America) to be where we are. Now, let’s precede forward into verse four where He is talking about unjust gain. This reminds me of the following verses in James.

James 1:13-16 (KJV)

13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

The 4^th verse of our text does not speak of the bringing forth of death but as we have studied down through Isaiah, we have seen much death. Today we are watching the death of our nation starting in the early 20^th century with the emerging ideas of Darwinism and a living vs fixed Constitution. Just as the Scripture is fixed and unchanging so must our Constitution be fixed and unchanging based on unchanging Truths.

Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
