NO JUSTICE – NO RIGHTEOUSNESS
Video link: https://youtu.be/-j_AX7sJaB4
Greetings dear and precious saints of God. Even if you are not a saint of God you are still precious to Him and therefore to us. He paid the highest price ever paid for each of us to have the option of redemption. Dear ones, it is not about Church, although that is very important, it is about a personal relationship with the Redeemer, Christ Jesus, His Father, and His Holy Spirit. The featured picture today is of a very old Church in Kentucky. The purpose for the image is to remind us all to intercede for our brothers and sister around us, our Church, and the Church at large. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text today in the wonderful Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 59:7-10 (NASB)
7 Their feet run to evil, And they hasten to shed innocent blood; Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity, Devastation and destruction are in their highways.
8 They do not know the way of peace, And there is no justice in their tracks; They have made their paths crooked, Whoever treads on them does not know peace.
9 Therefore justice is far from us, And righteousness does not overtake us; We hope for light, but behold, darkness, For brightness, but we walk in gloom.
10 We grope along the wall like blind men, We grope like those who have no eyes; We stumble at midday as in the twilight, Among those who are vigorous we are like dead men.
As we move into verse nine of our primary Bible text we see the path of the heathen, even the path of those who are saved but are going their own way. Remember God is speaking through His Prophet Isaiah to His people, not another people, His people who have let go of His hand and are gone astray. He is talking to us dear ones. Perhaps someone is thinking they and their Church is just fine and this is not talking about them. Let me as ask you then, are you seeing the works of Jesus (John 14:12) among the people, are you seeing yourself and those around you restoring what the devil has torn down in your community (Isaiah 61)? If not, why not? The answer is simple, unbelief, lack of love, lack of Blood Covenant. One might want to examine what they believe and look for the supporting Scriptures. One might want to ask; do I really believe this or is it just information I know? These are very serious, even life and death questions dear ones. When we enter Heaven, everyone wants to hear the words from the Master, well done, good and faithful servant, but will we? I think not. Remember the parables of the pounds, talents, and even of the sower. Consider this very sobering Scripture.
Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV)
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
I don’t know about you but this Scripture and others always cause me to have a moment of introspection, judging myself. Now let’s move into verse eleven.
Isaiah 59:11-12 (NASB)
11 All of us growl like bears, And moan sadly like doves; We hope for justice, but there is none, For salvation, but it is far from us.
12 For our transgressions are multiplied before You, And our sins testify against us; For our transgressions are with us, And we know our iniquities:
Do we see some in the Church, perhaps even we ourselves growling like bears and moaning about the lack of justice? Yes, we do, look for it, God is not talking to the world here but to those who at least say He is their God. They and we today are looking for salvation, relief from the current lack of righteousness in the land, and the lack of justice in the land and we find none. Could it be we are looking in all the wrong places. Salvation, righteousness, and justice starts with each of us individually and in our course corrections, turning from wicked ways, comes healing (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
