AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

THEREFORE HELL IS ENLARGED
Hell is real, it is unimaginably hot, tormenting, and once there always there. Heaven is also real, unimaginably good, pleasure forevermore, and once there always there! Each one of us chose our destiny, have you chosen? Greeting dear saints of God and welcome back to our engaging and empowering study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. God is so good dear ones to give us His Word that we have light (Anointed revelatory Word of God). The whole world is in darkness or wickedness but our God brings the light to all peoples. No one will have a legal excuse on the day of judgment (Romans 1:20). Now, let’s take a look at the following Scripture before we move into our primary Bible text.
1 John 5:18-21 (KJV)
18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
There is a few things in this passage that may hit some of your favorite traditions and doctrines (of demons) in the head. As we start off with verse eighteen, we are not being told that we, a Christian, never sins, but that sinning is not our way of life. Next, we see that those who are born again (“begotten of God”) keep themselves. We glibly sing songs like “He has the whole world in His Hand”, is that true? The implication is that everything going on in the world is under His control and being directed by Him. Is that true? We say things like “I’m in God’s Hand and He is in control”. Is that true? Our Scripture says that we keep ourselves and as we do the wicked one (demons) cannot touch us. If we think He is keeping us and do nothing we will continually get the snot kicked out of us. We keep ourselves by staying in the light and shunning the darkness, wickedness. We on purpose think His thoughts, say His Words, and do His deeds. Verse nineteen tells us that the whole world lies or practices wickedness. The world is those peoples and systems controlled by the demons. Let’s jump down to verse twenty-one where we are commanded “keep yourselves from idols”. Anything, any activity, any person we put ahead of God is an idol! Now let’s read our primary Bible text continuing to read aloud, yes, out loud.
Isaiah 5:13-16 (KJV)
13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.
14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
15 And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
16 But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.
God is talking to His people here and throughout most of the Bible. We like to think He is talking about “them” or the heathen, however dear head in the sand Ostridge He is talking to us (His people). Here is Isaiah as throughout most of the Bible, starting in Genesis 3:6 the Day of Sin and Death, He is talking to those who say He is their God. We confess Him as Lord, as our God, yet our lives tell a different story. We are all about the Father, the Lord Jesus, and the moving of the Holy Spirit for two hours on Sunday and then the other 166 hours of the week we are fully engaged with our other gods (idols). In the natural how does one keep a fire blazing? By adding more good wood. When we are first born again (saved) we may blaze brightly but then the deceptions of the enemy acquire a front row seat if we are not sober and vigilant. Our knowledge of God becomes simply on the level of information so we sound spiritual but are very carnal and have become a sounding brass and tinkling symbol. We are in captivity to the enemy lying in wickedness with the world. We are then in danger of slipping almost unnoticed from life to death, from having a destiny of Heaven to having a destiny of Hell. In this way Hell is enlarged.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
