THE THREE MINUTE WORD

THIS IS WHAT THE LORD SAYS
Good morning children of the most High God and welcome back to our study of the Book of Isaiah. If you are not a child of the most High God you are a child of darkness, of Satan. I realize that is a little blunt but the cost of staying in the devils’ kingdom is way too high, it is stealing, killing, and destroying now and Hell forever after this life. Change kingdoms today! Before moving on please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. The featured picture today is of the Supreme Court of the United States to remind us to pray for our nation, particularly the justice system, all those in authority. Praying for those in authority is not an option for the Christian, it is a command. It is an option only for those who have no problem with sin in their lives.
1 Timothy 2:2 (NLT)
1 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.
2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior,
4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For,
Let us be sincere pleasing our Heavenly Father as we pray for all in authority not just governmental leaders. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in Isaiah continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 43:14-18 (NLT)
14 This is what the LORD says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “For your sakes I will send an army against Babylon,
forcing the Babylonians to flee in those ships they are so proud of.
15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, Israel’s Creator and King.
16 I am the LORD, who opened a way through the waters,
making a dry path through the sea.
17 I called forth the mighty army of Egypt with all its chariots and horses. I drew them beneath the waves, and they drowned, their lives snuffed out like a smoldering candlewick.
18 “But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
For many days in our study, we have witnessed the mercy of our God for His people, the Israelites then, the Church now. These don’t just happen they are triggered by our obedience, God’s Words in our mouths, our focus on the Kingdom of God, and doing things His way. We see here that He, God, is sending an army against the Babylonian’s to occupy them, distract them, and to punish for overstepping their bounds. Look at verse fourteen in the Message Bible.
Isaiah 43:14 (MSG)
14 GOD, your Redeemer, The Holy of Israel, says: “Just for you, I will march on Babylon. I’ll turn the tables on the Babylonians. Instead of whooping it up, they’ll be wailing.
God Himself will march on our enemies when we are fully submitted to Him. He will indeed turn the tables on our enemies. Now, I want to make a couple of comments here to hopefully bring clarity. A vital issue in much of the Church is our waiting upon God to do everything. He has a part but so do we and it is more than praying. In the Scripture at hand, how did God turn the tables on the Babylonians and march on Babylon? He stirred up an enemy, another army. To bring this about they have to resist fear, look to Him as their God, throwing away all idols or other gods. No different for us today.
James 4:7 (TLB)
7 So give yourselves humbly to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Next in verse fifteen the Lord reviews, in part, what, who He is to His people. It is no different today except these titles generally refer to Jesus, the Christ. Jesus, the Christ is not the “creator of Israel” however He came through that creation. He is the creator of the Church, the first founding member if you will. As we end for today consider these verses.
Acts 16:31 (KJV)
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Luke 4:34 (KJV)
34 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.
Colossians 1:18 (KJV)
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Revelation 19:16 (KJV)
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. (Bold added)
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (Bold added)
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
