HINDERING GOD – PART FOUR

Greetings dear partners and friends of this Ministry and The Three Minute Word blog. Our God is so very good. Welcome to this ongoing Saturday series titled “Traditions, Lies, and Truth” where I seek to illuminate what will bring and maintain the curse in our lives and what will bring and maintain the blessing in our lives. The topic for this series today and ending next week is the question of; is it possible to hinder God. Another question might be as to whether it is possible to stop the plan of God. Now let’s get into our topic.
I have been discussing how God was hindered in the deliverance of the Israelites and how they never walked in the fulness of the promise, never occupying the whole of the Promised Land. I might add neither has the Church. What are our reasons for we are without excuse? Now I will jump back to the time of the deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt. Now recall that God said they would come out in four hundred years, but we see that it was actually four hundred and thirty years. What? This has to do with the disobedience of Moses (one man hindered the release from bondage of a nation). Remember Moses, a Hebrew, is brought up in the house of Pharaoh. One day he begins to feel the call on his life to free his people. He goes out and sees one of his people, a Hebrew, being abused and kills the Egyptian. Moses is forty years of age and he is forced to flee into the wilderness. After forty years, a time of testing, God appears and speaks to Moses from the burning bush that was not consumed. It appears that Moses was to bring the Israelites out when he is fifty, ten years after the killing of the Egyptian. Fifty represents a jubilee, a time when all things are made right, returned to the rightful owner; instead the release is delayed by thirty years. Thirty is the number of blood, the Egyptians blood was spilled.
When Moses was ready, after God had tested him in the wilderness for forty years the gifting and call which is without repentance was reinitiated (Romans 11:29). Let’s listen to God speaking from the burning bush that was not consumed.
Exodus 3:8 (KJV)
8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
God Himself is come down to deliver the Israelites out of the hand of Pharaoh. He reiterates the promise of the land, how great it is, and who currently lives on that land. This is a wonderful prophetic picture of when the Lamb of God, God Himself, would come out of Heaven to redeem mankind from sin which brought spiritual and physical death and every form of poverty, and sickness. And the promise to the Church is not less wonderful, it is even more wonderful in this time in the earth and in Heaven. Wherever we the Church are in the earth it is to be good land, a large land, and it is to flow in the best of everything. God is no respecter of persons; He has not given the Church less then Israel. We as individuals and collectively, the Church, are far and away the most powerful force in the earth. Why don’t we act like it? Unbelief, traditions, and doctrines of devils, most of which are learned in Church keep us in the bondage of the curse. It isn’t that Christians don’t have faith, it is that their faith is not in the Word of God but a corrupted word. Listen to the Master Himself on why He came into the world.

1 John 3:8 (KJV)
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Jesus came and destroyed the works of the devil for all people including the Jews just as He did for the Israelites all those years ago with the plagues and the Red Sea.
The real Gospel was that God would give the Israelites a wonderful land. Watch what happened when the time came for them to spy out the land and make a plan for occupying the land. Ten of the twelve spies sent by Moses into the land came back with an evil report. They confirmed that it was a wonderful place alright, but they were not be able to take it and occupy it. Do we do the same thing with our promises of wealth, healing, and wholeness of every area in our lives? Do we say, yup it is in the Bible but for some reason I cannot have it, I guess God is working out something in my life. It must be God’s will that I be poor or that I have this awful disease. That is blasphemy. The simple answer is this, we have believed another gospel, we are without faith in the Truth. This failure at its core is disobedience to the Word of God. Remember, faith works by love and love is obedience to the Word, selflessness, and observance of the Blood Covenant. Next Saturday I will pick up with the evil report ten of the spies brought which cost the Israelites dearly.
