TRADITIONS, LIES, and TRUTH – PART FORTY-TWO
GUARDING OUR HEART AND DO ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD FOR ALL PEOPLES?
Saturday – November 2, 2019, Cheshvan 4, 5780

Greetings precious, precious, friends and partners of this Ministry and children of the Most High God. What a wonderful privilege it is to sow the Word of God into your lives and as I am sowing the very same Words of God are being sown into our lives as well. God is so, so good. As you will recall the main emphases of these Saturday teachings is to separate the Truth from fiction. A very large number of ideas have arisen in the Church and have been accepted as the Truth but are in fact the traditions of men or the doctrines of demons. Today I will be present two of these ideas for our study and reflection. Let us determine to be good Bereans. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment and hit the “love” and “share” buttons to give us encouraging feedback and to partner in the dissemination of the good news of the Kingdom of God.
A few weeks ago, I did a Saturday series on guarding our heart with an emphasis on being very careful as to what and how we hear. Jesus admonished us in this area.
Mark 4:24 (KJV)
24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. (Bold added by Dr. Wood)
Luke 8:18 (KJV)
18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have. (Bold added by Dr. Wood)
To the extent possible we are to avoid all words contrary to the Word of God and all words of unbelief even from Christian friends. What we give our attention to will get down into our hearts and it will become a part of our thinking, our talk, and actions and will cause the content of our world. We have to ask ourselves are we walking in the abundance of wealth and health Jesus paid for (John 10:10) or are we poor in finances and other areas and have sickness (curse) in our bodies? If we find a lack of abundance, we must ask ourselves what is preventing abundance in our lives. A lack of abundance in our lives is not God nor the will of God. After I had finished the series on Guarding the Heart I was reminded of the most prominent and consequential example and that was in the Garden of Eden. Adam had received explicit face to face instructions by God not to partake of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:16-17). This command was given in love and to prove love and to keep man in victory. Sixteen is the number of love and seventeen the number of victory. It is unclear if Eve was also instructed directly by God or if it was Adam’s responsibility to communicate this to her just as we have the responsibility to communicate God’s Words one to another. Adam and Eve did not guard their hearts and look at the mess. Same thing is going on in each of our lives when we do not guard our hearts.
Next I will briefly but adequately deal with the commonly used and partial quote from Scripture that “all things work together for good”. Is this a true Bible statement or is it a traditional saying or doctrine of devils? That phrase comes from the following verse.
Romans 8:28 (KJV)
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
We need to read that Scripture very carefully and discern the Truth for us and the body of Christ. If I may paraphrase the Scripture, it says that we should be able to observe all things working together for good concerning those that love God and are acting in accordance with His purpose or will (Covenant). That is a far cry from things just kind of working out sort of magically. Remember love is obedience to God, selflessness, and the observing of Blood Covenant. If we are off doing some hair brained thing, that is not going to work together for our good. Remember, say what He says, do what He does, the Father will do the work, and good will manifest in our lives. Otherwise we are in disobedience which is sin. The absence of faith and love will result in the manifestation of the curse in our lives. The presence of faith in the Word of God motivated by Godly love will bring the manifestation of the blessing into our lives. Seems like a straightforward idea, Truth, so why do we see so much curse in our own lives and all around us?
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
