WHAT ABOUT TRANSGRESSORS, SINNERS, FORSAKERS

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this powerful teaching of the Bible Book of Isaiah. As we move forward, please take a moment to share this and all of these teachings as widely as possible to spread the very best news that has ever been heard, is being heard, or will ever be heard. The featured scenic picture today was provided by our good friend and man of God, Joe Getchell Jr. Joe has a good eye for what makes an interesting picture and not just another picture.
A few days before I was to sit down and write these particular teachings the Lord introduced an interesting thought which I believe He would have me share with you. He pointed out a connection between the “Fruit of our spirit” and the parables of the pounds and talents. To bear fruit is to bring forth something that did not exist before. There is spiritual fruit and natural fruit. The spiritual always precedes the natural. It is impossible to have natural fruit without a spiritual source. The lack of natural fruit also has a spiritual source or root.
We hear this often-recited myth that we may not have much in this life but we are rich in Heaven. Really? Let me be a little clearer. What we produce in life is directly related to what we have faith to produce. Whatever the condition of our natural life, it is a reflection of our spiritual life. This is true for saint and sinner alike. Just think about the Tower of Babel and God’s comments. For the saint the Blessing will produce wealth, fame, cause us to be a blessing to others, and give us health. Just think about Abraham and know that we have the same Blessing as Abraham, as Jesus. Did both Abraham and Jesus walk in wealth (yes, Jesus was wealthy), were they both famous, were they both a blessing to others, and were they both healthy? Yes, to all! Are we to experience the same? Emphatically, yes!
In the account of the talents (Matthew 25) and the pounds (Luke 19) there was the production of what did not exist before except by one servant. Jesus highly commended the fruitful but the lot of the unfruitful was not good. Listen to what Jesus said to the unfruitful servant.
Matthew 25:26 (KJV)
26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
He called him lazy and wicked. Sounds like our Isaiah text. Now see the consequences of being lazy and unfruitful.
Matthew 25:30 (KJV)
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
This may not be Hell but is certainly a life of misery, sounds like Isaiah 1:28 don’t you think? Now, let’s turn our attention to our Isaiah text before I end for today.
Isaiah 1:27-28 (KJV)
27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
28 And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
Yesterday I talked about the repentance that is available to the Church, to everyone. Repentance restores righteous standing and fellowship with God the Father. One can be in relationship but not fellowship. Natural examples of this, I suspect we have all seen, is when members of a family become estranged from one another, still family (relationship) but not in fellowship. With regard to God, to salvation, we may remain saved, that is going to Heaven, but in terrible shape. None of the benefits of family flow when one is out of fellowship. As bad as verse twenty-eight of our text sounds, I don’t know that these are persons going to Hell but they are sure in rebellion and out of fellowship. There are consequences to every choice we make in life. Let’s look at it in the Amplified version.
Isaiah 1:28 (AMP)
28 But the crushing and destruction of rebels and sinners shall be together, and they who forsake the Lord shall be consumed.
We see this all around us, saint and sinner alike. The Lord taught me many years ago that once the Blood is upon us (the Blood of Jesus) it is hard to get it off. We have to renounce our salvation and the Lord Jesus Christ from our heart. The vast majority of persons who transgress the Word of God, sin knowingly or in ignorance, or backslide do not renounce their salvation they just follow after the flesh. This is not good but an illustration of the mercy and compassion of our God. So, the result is that we have a broke and sick Church and many think that is the will of God. How perverse!
More tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
