Welcome to Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries and our continuing reflection upon the question; What Should The Church Look Like? This study has been persistent in my thoughts for several months right along with questions about the feminization of the Church. I have already published my thoughts, Scripture thoughts, on the feminization of the Church. That study was published on the 5th of January 2025 under the title “The Seed of Satan is Flourishing in the Church”. As I talked to the Lord about this question of what the Church should look like, His response was, like The Tabernacle in the wilderness. This is a multipart study, so let’s dive in.
Continuing to survey the Holy Place, in the center, on the west side of the Holy Place before the veil is the Alter of Incense. Hot coals were brought from the Alter of Sacrifice morning and evening, fresh incense was applied releasing a cloud of sweet fragrance. This represents the prayers of the saints, the children of God to their Father, and it is pleasing to the Father. Soon the veil which separated God from His beloved children would be torn, He could come out to them, and they may come in to Him.
To the left or south side of the Holy Place is the Candlestick, otherwise known to us as a Menorah or Candelabrum. This piece was also made of pure gold. There was a single center candle above the supporting shaft with three lamps on each side of the center candle. Seven candles in total representing spiritual completeness. The center candle is the servant candle and represents Jesus. The six other candles represent mankind. The oil for the candles or lamps represents the Holy Spirit, the Anointing. Jesus, the Word, is the one who brings life igniting the Holy Spirit to bring life and spiritual completeness to us all. The Word of God (in agreement with the Word) spoken from our mouth in faith, in love, will bring the promises of God into this realm. It will not happen if you don’t know who you are in Christ Jesus and the authority He has delegated to you. We exercise authority not begging.
This brings us to the Most Holy Place which is the location of the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark of the Covenant contains the Covenant and is covered by the solid gold Mercy Seat. Once a year the High Priest would take the blood of innocent unblemished animals into the Most Holy Place and apply it to the Mercy Seat. Jesus sealed the Covenant with His Blood, all of the Covenant. The gold cover of the Ark represents purity, that purity came to those who will receive it by the Blood of Jesus.
Today the Heavenly Mercy Seat has the Blood of Jesus applied, and it along with the Covenant is ever before the Father. In addition, Jesus our Advocate, our High Priest is seated and us with Him at the Right Hand of the Father. In the Most Holy Place of the Tabernacle is where the Presence of God was located and where Moses would meet with God face to face. A cherubim located on each end of the Ark of Covenant are arching over the Ark, the Covenant, and the gold covering with the presence of God, and the redeeming, sin blotting out blood.
TAKE HOME:
- The prayers of the saints are a sweet fragrance to the Father, they are precious like conversations we have with people we love.
- Jesus was the servant to mankind as the servant candle in the Menorah who made the Anointing, the Fire of God available to all who will receive Him, both Jesus and the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
- We are in Blood Covenant with the Father through Christ Jesus. The Blood of Jesus makes it possible for us to be pure in the sight of the Father.
- Let us end this wonderful study of “What The Church Should Look Like” with the following passage.
Hebrews 10:19-23 (KJV)
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without
wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Lord willing, I will have a new study for us tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
